I can't fathom the time, it must have taken!?

Just bought and printed your flathead. Nice looking overall but I think very hard to wire because the distributor and the sparkplug holes are too small even for awg 30 (0.25mm) wire. I also wish the distributor holes were deeper. I will have to scale up and reprint these parts, and also rescale the seperately sold 1948 top loader gearbox. I think 3d design is great but needs a little bit of modification and scaling on the design phase to be more suitable for 3d print and utilization.

it seems that you have lost an O and an N somewhere, head casting should say ELCO TWIN it's still a nice file though👍

I had an SUV that I did a bit of customization to when I was younger and I always loved old school flame paint jobs. I learned that this is exactly the same process. I went to an automotive paint store and found they had some ridiculously thin width tape to do this, and doing the layout you use one hand to hold and push the tape firmly and the other as the one doing the moving up or down.. etc. just like you are doing. I did just the flame outline one Saturday morning over the entire SUV, and I was so mad at myself…. It was a silver SUV and the tape was a lime green in color and it looked awesome. So much so that I didn’t want to take it off! I was still paying on the SUV so I didn’t do any modification that couldn’t be undone. Especially something like paint…. I sucked (and still do) at just about every form of paint. I think I just left it on for a few days and removed it. It’s cool to see it’s the same technique no matter the scale. Maybe I’ll try to do it on my old toolbox or something.

You ever put the salt in a grinder and wet your car where you want the rust put the salt on the wet places let dry paint then brush off with a toothbrush looks great and thanks for the tips i use a few of yours.
