I have been practising showing gratitude and warmth for a long while, but honestly my boyfriend is just super self-absorbed. Even when I come to him warmly tell him a small thing that would feel so wonderful for me, he says yes and agrees. Then doesn't do it. He's kind to me but won't make any gesture or effort to do something thoughtful or romantic without me asking. He's obsessed with his hobbies and takes me for granted. He's a loving man and does care about me, but he just won't take the initiative. After reading these comments and watching this video I'm thinking maybe I need to leave him. I feel really sad.

Thank you BSB for creating a better updated version of the NIV by creating the Berean Standard Bible. I have used the NIV translation of the Bible as my main Bible Translation for many, many years since 1984 and am now switching from the NIV bible to the Berean Standard Bible as my main bible translation of use which I believe to be more accurate than the NIV bible translation because the NIV uses the word "commands" where the word "commandments" should have been used in NIV. For examples. Rev 14:12, John 14:15, 1 John 2:3, 1 John 2:4. John 14:21, John 15:10, 1 John 3:24, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6, to name a few. I wish Zondervan would created a Thompson Chain Reference Bible using the Berean Standard Bible text along with all of the features that make the Thompson chain reference bible such a valuable tool. what a great bible that would be.
