Ski-doo Freeride 154" 2014 in l’ange-gardien, Quebec. Finally got some decent snow, so I got out for a rip. Ride alone, got to meet up with a friend. A bit of rider fatigue and no break ended up into a forced one 😆

Poor heavy ass 4 Stroke lol.. people don’t understand that those big pigs are good one for one thing.. a ton of studs and a glare ice lake or very low snow conditions on a lake with studs for speed. Everything else they suck. The long track versions of course are good for up in mountains as you don’t lose power with a turbo but other then that for every day riding in all consisting the 850 is king

The 850 sold at around 6000 kilos. The guy got a new one. The ace sold and the guy got a cat now. He hated it. I sold my 800 and bought a new 850 also. Great engine.
@DaveLag84 I've always been a Cat guy, but I just bought my girlfriend a 22 850 Turbo,Summit 165/3in. It's a nice machine for sure, lots of very thought out things on it. It just doesn't feel right for me sadly. She loves it though!

Are you saying the wife's 165 summit feels good on trail? I am confused. I am a bigger guy. I ride a 146 Backcountry X 800 with 2" powder max. This is not the easiest on trail but is a dream ditch banging and tree riding. Not a mountain sled like the summit is. Just curious if you have ever trail road a modern chassis with a 129 or 137 track? My opinion, unless needed specific use, the renegade x 850 137 with ice ripper track is the best setup on the market to trail ride and crossover. Buddy blew up his toned RMK this winter riding trails. Mountain sleds don't belong on trails for the most part.

Ahah. Merci du commentaire. La première journée, on s’est stationné près de la tour d’hydro. Kilomètre 55 aprox. Les autres jours c’était au kilo 31. Sans guide, mais jamais seul. Avec app gps qui enregistre ton tracé. Et puis oui, les 146 ça lève sur le rouleau pi en tbnk

I realize this was a while ago I’m hoping you see this, I’m trying to do this build myself, just wondering how much it cost you? I have seen your thread but didn’t really see how much you spent. Definitely enjoying the fact that you made it possible to keep your manual transmission I want to do the same! I’d love to be able to have a little conversation with you so maybe you can give me some do’s and dont’s tips!
Luis Partida it's been a while yeah! I bought the car for 800-1000$?! Then sold lots of parts excluding the engine obviously. The engine cost is almost nothing after all. Then came the other parts. About 2000$ total. I can't say don't it but, there's is a lot of other options on the road. The 1uz is a car engine designed for a car / road use. There is not very much bottom end torque like truck engine. Imo, the 3.4 v6 is a much more bolt on engine and more truck/off-road oriented power curve. The V8 sound though...
DaveLag84 nice not bad I’m sure I’ll end up using alittle more than that I’m just trying to get all my ducks in line before getting into the project itself, yeah the 3.4 is nice but the power I can get out of the v8 for the same price amount is what is getting my attention, I’ve been looking at the 2uz since that is a truck version but can’t seem to find too many straight forward threads on it. How has the 1uz performed off-road? Do you still have it?
Luis Partida I sold the truck 3 years ago. Didn't use it much. The 1uz was not so good off road. High revs mud ok but low range/crawling, I preferred the 3.slow These trucks don't necessarily need the V8 unless it's for fun or a project you want to waste money on.
DaveLag84 yeah I’m definitely looking for the fun I’m doing a swap eventually anyways and figured I could spend the same amount of money maybe 1,000$ more to turn some heads and also have some fun on the streets. I have a heavy foot so I like to step on my 3.slow lol As you know I don’t get anywhere doing that though lmao. What are your opinions about the 2uz?? Have you heard anything on it? I’ve seen less threads on this because the 1uz is more common.
Oh also how did the stock transmission hold up with it?? Any issues?

It varies on what computer you run and where it set to. unless its stock then 6500 but, that's not my question now is it?
