McFadden was taken off field on pass plays for Simmons. Simmons is slow at processing plays, so he was good at covering TE or blitzing on pass plays bc he is so fast and tall, and knows role presnap. The McFadden/Simmons combo was as effective as O'carrotcake. That should be Simmons role ILB on pass plays. Muasau is small, slow, bad tackler. He has a fast 1st step play recognition, but i see him cut and signed to PS unless he beats out Beavers for ST. Beavers 4th short and ST. Caughlin is cut bc of Phillips, Nubin, Owens, Hawkins, Muasau, Beavers, McCloud competition. ILB was awesome once McFadden figured out position and Simmons subbed on pass plays. I see Bowen using same philosophy this year. Kwan Alexander would be interesting to replace Beavers/Muasau. But hopefully Beavers returns to preinjury 2022 form.

It was a disaster when he subbed for the injured Andrew Thomas at LT....... but if he can stay healthy and catch the attention of Coach Bricillo he won't be on the bubble. I've heard he has some issues with how he uses his hands and I seriously wish OL coaches would encourage martial arts training for guys with that problem.
