Take ride on the Reading, Lehigh Valley, Central New Jersey on an Eastbound journey around the L&KV layout from Harrisburg, PA to West Portal, NJ
Outstanding!!
Nice Operation.
Now all we need is some Big Mike Bednar narration to complete this!
Someone doesn't know how to couple cars. Try a slower speed.
I don't know about anyone else, but I sure wouldn't want to be the Conduct in that Caboose.
Personally not a fan of the "struggling to run" sound this loco makes. But I am sure it makes for nostalgia for people who grew up with them. I just prefer the sound of modern Diesels or classic steam
I lived in Bethlehem when my Dad worked in the LV office in Bethlehem between 1966 and 1969.
nice switching, great layout :)
RAILFAN..!!! Actually VERY relaxing to watch. And that Lovely sound..! Thank you for this...
That loco has amazing sound
Lehigh valley. my mom is from Northampton Pa! love that area!
This was one of the best layout tours I have seen in a long, long time. Great video.
Affectionately known as "Camels" Those were my favorite GE's.
Amazing . . . who had the time and money to invest in creating this? My hat is off to them! So large . . . It must be housed in an abandoned shopping mall - I am speculating.
Cool video and channel just subscribed
This is great
NICE! Will this loco (the alc42) be on the layout at the open house on Jan 7 & 8? I wanna see this set in person!
C39-8 those are one of My Favorite Locomotives and that Train is just beautiful, Thank-You for posting the video!
great buried and weedy tracks in the yards and sidings !. that's how it should be. Good work!. Massive main line run is great too.
WOW! What more could be said!
Wow! Wow! What a great railroad!
What Huck said, but double. Gramps
Apparently signals don't matter !
Amazing. Beautiful layout. It has everything
That is massive and never ending. So much detail. Well done folks…🚂
Lots of red signal violations going on there. =)
I can only dream of having a layout as good as this one.
Fantastic
Great layout.
Great job on the landscaping details. I'll have to brush up on the road's rulebook. Seemed like the crew proceeded right through some red signals. 🙂
Nice layout, BUT, why is this train constantly running RED BLOCK SIGNALS?? Real engineers wouldn’t last a day in their careers by running red lights!
So many true words spoken, absolutely beautiful guy's, this layout is the stuff a boy's dreams are made of .......... " Keep on Rockin, Rollin and Riding "
Great job to the club members who have been involved in the building of this terrific layout!! The video was flawless! Great job with the track work which made the video work! May the railroad live on for many many years.
Great layout. You're in for a very special treat if you play this video at double speed and listen to the music. Stellar.
Excellent Layout with superb modelling
Our round Robin modelers group visited this just before Covid. It has to be in the top three club railroads in the country. These guys model actual locations and the attention to detail is nothing short of excellent. They have their own 3D printer and made the Jim Thorpe station and other challenging architecture. The track plans are true to the prototype as well. If you ever have a chance to see this, there's lots more to see beyond the videos, GO SEE IT IN PERSON! You won't be disappointed.
Excellent video. Can you tell me what camera you used?
Randy, we used a Polaroid cube camera
I absolutely love this and can’t wait to see it in person. I believe that this is every model railroad builders dream, it’s mine anyway, in O Scale. The work on this is to be fully commended and I can see that it’s not completed yet. It’s an overall A+++++++++
A very nice video and layout. Out of curiosity, what sort of camera did you put on the train? My local model railroad club (in Newtown Square) uses a camera on one of our locomotives, though it provides more of a live feed than an actual recording.
We used a Polaroid cube
@@lkvmodelrailroad Ah, OK, thank you for letting me know :). I'll have to look into purchasing one, as well as a flatcar for it to rest on.
This is one of the most detailed and longest running layouts I’ve ever seen, to say that it’s excellent would be a huge understatement. Is this able to be viewed in person. Thank you for sharing
Yes our layout can be visited in person. We are located in Bethlehem Pennsylvania. Our open house schedule can be found on our website, lkvmodelrailroad.com
Great looking club layout and thanks for the video. There is one thing that annoys me on these really well done layouts - why do they leave the track nails in place? Once the ballast is glued down you can pull the nails and the track stays in place. Been doing that for years - in the hobby on the HO side for 65+ years. On video like this they stick out like so many sore thumbs.
I am subscribing for the music, its nice and bouncy.
Wow, what a sick layout!!! The level of detail and hard work put into this is breathtaking. Thank you for sharing!
Excellent!
That was VERY, interesting!!!! I got lost while being a ride along 😵🤯😱, lol, on your layout, must be BIGGG!!!!! NICE, EXCELLECT VIDEO💪👌✌️👍
Fantastic Looking Layout. Love all the Details. Enjoyed watching your Trains. Just Subscribed! Jebb
That is a great looking layout. Thanks for sharing!
That was insanely awesome...
It’s a shame the platforms are gone at union station
Well , running aginst red light probably explains why you're not seeing meeting trains, this is a one at a time railroad..
