Turned a $400 job into a $130 job thanks to Harbor freight. I am fortunate that my father and I figured out how to do it ourselves. I would also like to point out that this was only our second replacement so there may be some things in here that actual mechanics wouldn't otherwise do lol! Hope this helps anyone else who needs to replace the lower ball joints. Here is just a quick time-lapse vid...

I think they have shorten the tool or changed it somehow because I cannot fit the same fittings yku have
I ended up cutting the rubber boot off and it all fit

Nice Bird!!! Great video. You explained things well and were informative yet kept it quick and simple. The only thing is, i didn't know what to do with my 10mm bolts that i took off in the beginning. Wish you would've explained that a little better...😂 i'm kidding. What is the performance like? Notice anymore horsepower since installation?

Your video popped up after watching LegitStreetCars video on the WS6 he picked up in West Virginia. I have always loved Trans Am's and the WS6 especially. I just purchased a 2021 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack 392 Widebody T/A Edition, so the WS6 will have to wait. But it is enjoyable seeing a Beautiful Girl installing a cold-air return on her WS6. Nice job.

S#%t! I hate making a comment, and then finding out I'm wrong. The code for a positract is G80, not G50,...and yes, you do have one! Stupid books!
Unfortunately, you don't have the one code most Ws6 owners are looking for! G50 That's the code for a positract rear differential. You must not be doing a lot of burnouts, or that open diff would be toast by now. Thank God you're a careful driver

A squirt of carb cleaner in the rubber parts and they will slip apart and together a lot easier.

Think my trans am has an aftermarket MAF sensor and I can’t get the damn pieces to go together 😵💫
Do you need a ram air hood for this to be installed, or will it work with the regular hoods? Did you have to adjust your fuel to air ratios or have computer issues after you installed this?
Hi there! I haven't had any issues with my computer system after install. This is the only modification my car has. Without the ram air, it's possible that a flatter style would breathe better since it doesn't have the additional airflow. Ls1Tech.com has a bunch of awesome forums to read on the f-body. Hope this helps!

Nice video. But, remember tho. NEVER put the full weight of the car on the ground when tighten up your lug nuts. Just let the car down just enough too where the tires are touching the ground, then torque your lug nuts. Those wheels should be 100ft.

Do you need to put any type of oil on the Volant air intake filters?
Hi there! Yes. Volant sells a kit with cleaner and oil for the filters. They have one with blue dye. Locally, autozone had k&n cleaners but they were only sold in red. I had to order the blue volant kit online.

That's an awesome Trans Am. Nice informative video, thanks Edit: Your voice reminds me of the mechanic from Firefly. It's one of my favorite shows, so that is incredibly endearing. When it's just your hands and voice, I swear to God Kaylee has gotten off her space ship and is showing me how to work on Trans Ams.
