What is the background measure F? What light is the keylight above the head and the Umbrella below?
Hi , the keylight is at 5.6 shutter at 1/125 at iso 100 . The fill light - large umbrella was around f4 and the fill lights / background lights at f4
@@justin_munitz I'm always watching it well. Please upload a short video often.
@@ggengs thanks so much ! Im trying my best to show up more here :) Let me know what you would like to learn more of :)
Thanx for this, Justin. My portrait biz is suffering due to the economy and I have a yearly subscription but few opportunities to use my credits, so watching this review makes me aware of the newest features added during my absence. Evoto has allowed me to remove all the portrait retouching PS plugins and their action sets and stop the subscription fees. Bonus!
Hey ! sorry to hear biz is down , but yes Evoto is such a win ito pricing as well as not having to go into photoshop to do background cleanups !!
Just say it already
✌️
Is it worth it?
Hey , yes totally worth it ! keeps my desk clutter free :)
Absolutely wild. That background clean and flyaway hairs - woweeeee 🤯
@@LaurenPlitUK I know right ! It’s worth it just for that alone 😎

Thank you. Im glad it was helpful
How to download dazz cam
you can download from the app store , not sure if its on android ? i use iphone
"reducing focal length" would be right, wouldnt it?
yes well spotted , you are correct ;)
What are the settings that you use on your camera? Some lut creators say for example to overexpose sony by 1.3-1.7 which affects the style. What are your camera settings?
Hey Dominick ! Great question . I know a lot of people would say on the multi meter between 1.3-1.7 and i do see it is often around that point . I use an external monitor and use the false color to measure my exposure most of the time . The real issue with relying on a general rule is that your camera cant make a creative decision . Do you want to over expose a window or sky for example because it looks great on the skin and then you make the sacrifice . Or do you maybe want a dark moody scene and the meter is saying its under exposed.. The short answer is there is no "i always overexpose" or Expose like this. I make sure the picture is right . I hope this helps and makes sense :)

Hi Richie , are you rerfering to the pop up diffuser , they come in different sizes but you can use any diffusion material , even a shower curtain :)
Film photography without any of the quality, experience, or fun. Just what I always wanted!!
Haha yea truth. I like to see it as being able to have a little more fun when taking pics on the phone… I still love shooting film too
This is great bro! Thanks for posting super useful!
😉😉
Very insightful and a great perspective
Glad you enjoyed it Nieke 😎
Thank you for the great info!
Thanks Mike !
Hii Love your video!! by the way it's interesting to me that your version has the Camera Profile for the Sony a6600 however I don't have that camera profile on mine, when you go to their website to download the camera profile individually it's not registered either over there. I'm very confused about this.
Hi Dario ! thanks for the love :) its a good question - i really dont know why you wouldn't be able to download your camera profile. Ill double check mine again , but in the meantime have you mailed FilmConvert ? Maybe they would e able to help you out ?
This is very helpful Justin. If I understand correctly, the application of colour saturation happens in photo editing software (colour balance) or during shooting (by changing the light source) as well?
Hey Al, Good question - the answer is both ;) Hard light will produce higher saturation in color and soft light will result in a lower saturation. Try it , take something that brightly color , and place it in direct sun and look at it , then take it inside , you will see the effect instantly :)
@@justin_munitz Awesome! I'll give it a try. Thanks
Many thanks for this video. Will filmconvert facilitate skin tones and colour correction? Also, what if log and camera information are not available? Do reply.
Hi Randeepm Great questions - It wont facilitate skin tones, what i would do is do any skin corrections after using filmconvert . If camera information isnt available they do have a "generic" converstion that you could then tweak to get it looking great . Hope this helps
Many thanks.😊
You have Canon and Nikon, which one did you have a better experience with?
Hi Sina, i sold the nikon, it was great for stills but i bought it primarily for the video and found that it was really difficult to get really good colors out of it . I have more recently bought a sony fx30 for video which I love. Its super easy to use, colors are great and theres a large amount of resources online to get help with any question. I've been a canon user from the start and while i have tried to shoot nikon a few times i definitely prefer the canon eco system. I've been using the canon R6 since it came out :)
Hi Justin, thank you for the thorough explanation, I wish you success@@justin_munitz
great tutorial - thanks!
You're welcome Robert. Let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like me to make a video on.

Thanks guys, Really appreciate you watching and commenting. Looking forward to future updates :)
I always appreciate your uploads Justin. Thank you for taking the time to reshoot. Great, thoughtful selection of images to display the various capabilities. I just downloaded this and that background cleaner, by itself, is amazing. But the skin performed just as you demonstrated. I would not have paid attention to this software without your review.
Maurice i am super stoked that you found this useful. Couldn't agree more on the background cleaner, it really is worth the price of admission alone. I have previously purchased another ai software just for cleaning backgrounds and it wasnt half as good and way more expensive. I appreciate you, your comment and the support of my channel :)
Thanks for sharing. Did you mix the strobe with window light for the blurry shots?
Hi , i did for some of them where you can see the background is a little more on the grey side. The images where the background is lighter with the lower fstop & higher iso was just natural light
Wow, awesome . Thank you for sharing .😊
such a pleasure Jerry ! Thanks for taking the time to comment 😎

Thanks so much Antonio
What speed did you use on the camera? I would want to do this using the max flash sync speed around 1/200 or 1/250
Hey Georgette , shutter speed would have been to the max sync speed which was probably around 1/160 or 1/200.
Thank you! Going to try this for my next rainy day shoot
@@georgettetorres Good Luck !

Nicely done 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks Molaleni , Appreciate the comment !
Why did nt you take the stills with the 50 1.8 instead of the 24-70 f4 ?
Good question ! I found the 24-70 to be super sharp and for fashion im rarely shooting lower than 5.6 mostly around 7.1 or f8. I like the flexibility of the zoom ;)
Great location
Love your colors!!!
thanks Ashwin !
I recognize you from Black Mirror
hahaha thats amazing ! Its been a while but i still get recognition from that show :)
great work man!!!
Appreciate it!
Great shots. I know this is an old video but do you remember how you lit the first black and white photo? Is it just a beauty dish?
thanks so much ! Good question , i dont really remember but it looks like theres one light from the front - could be a small octa or possibly a beauty dish and then a kicker from behind the model on her right / camera left .
Interesting stuff. You'd definitely benefit from investing in a lav mic system for your audio (if you haven't by now).
Yeh, it's F11 (one stop brighter than F8), not F10, though F10(ish) might be good as a whole stop may not be necessary for a clean white seamless.
Which picture profile u shoot
Hi Vinu, i think it was the neutral profile but i shoot in RAW so the profile would only when previewing the images on the camera - once you import into say lightroom or capture one you would process the image yourself to your artistic taste :)
