Trying to Clone a Variegated Scindapsus with Plant Tissue Culture
I was filming initiating a Scindapsus jade satin aurea into tissue culture on TikTok and decided to poorly recycle my content and post it on RUclips as well! I’ll post an update soon if this lil experiment goes well (so far it's been a day and the explants are still looking fab)

Good information. Thank you. Happy 4th of July.
Hola haces envíos de tus plantines un vitro a otros países
I'm hoping mine live. I have one it is much smaller than those. 4 leaves
Did it work?!?
Hi! When do we transfer to bigger pot? Thank you!
Just did my first tc. Has like 10 leaves but I just lost 2 that's normal? It's been 1 week.
Can I use RO water?
What do you use for CT? ms + naa and bap?
I have so many questions. I’m trying to learn how to take TC for cannabis.
Gel = agar!
Do they need bright light?
$5
Hi Do you put the zip lock bag under a grow light please? Or is it best not too?
I’m about to buy some banana plants that are tissue cultured and this was so helpful.
Ugly
Those are $25-40 now 😂
Stop feeding this nonsense
That is not an 8k plant 😂 I can get that for $100 or less
its not a normal thai con.
That is outrageously expensive even for a Thai Constellation, Jesus Christ. We got one for €100
All the pieces they chopped off because they crisped up 😂 I like variegated plants too, but that price is wild!
Pre tell the difference from the normal Thai?😅
It was my first time seeing this so honestly I’m not sure, I THINK because it looks like a Thai mixed with a mint?
I'm waiting on my very first TC and I'll be honest, I had no idea what I was getting into. I just happened to look up the term tc+prop tonight and seriously I have been through so many videos & felt so confused and overwhelmed until I got to your content. Very informative and straight forward and detailed info. You're a lifesaver. I can't wait for my new little dude to show up!
I’m so glad this was helpful!! You got this 💪 it’s intimidating dealing with your first tc plants but once you get the hang of it, it’s a ton of fun watching teeny tiny plants grow into their full size
🤷🏾♀️❤️
Hey, thanks for the great content. Wondering if neem oil can be used as fungicide when cleaning the plant?
Ive seen never something this beautiful 🥹
0.3-0.5% Peroxide!
Question please - how to order the tissue culture kit to try it myself - thanks Great Video thanks so very much
How about using lechuza pon?
You ever clone aquatic plants? Id be super interested in seeing that and what the differance would be in especially in making the gel.
Thank you for these videos. Btw . Make some more..k.
🫡 on it! Glad you enjoy them 😁
Id like to see how you make your slime/ tissue culture ooze... and what you put in it and the whole process! In your last video i watched where you set up your still air box i noticed you didnt pressure cook all your utensils how important is that is it enough that uou spray everything with alcohol and thats it.. or should everything be cooked first?
It’s pretty important if you have the means to do so! Any time I make media (that gel in the cups) I pressure cook my tools to sterilize but I also like to walk on the ~wild side~ and just spray them down with alcohol before working. It’s not as effective and the risk of getting contamination on the plants is much higher. But if you don’t have a pressure cooker, it’s still possible to do TC just fine by spraying the tools to clean them!
i used to think this was science lab stuff and just admired from afar. thanks so much for showing that it's possible at home - and walking me through everything!! appreciate you and your channel. -m
Glad you enjoy!! It’s a really fun hobby to learn and kinda makes you feel like a mad scientist ngl
Where did u buy It?
I needed blue berry.midiya
Your watsapp no.
Hello friends how are you. Nice information thenks.❤
Thank you glad you enjoyed!
Good morning friends,I needed blue berry plant tissue culture Ms midiya,
Nice information thenks. 👍❤ Watsapp no.
Thank you so much for this! I’ve just finished gathering all the equipment to start on my home tissue culture journey. Exciting but also nerve wracking. I’ve been watching the limited RUclips TC over & over so I’m very grateful for your contribution to the topic on here. Keep em coming 😁💚💕
You’re welcome I’m glad you enjoyed!! It’s a fun hobby to pick up, I can promise you the beginning is going to be frustrating to fight with contamination but it’s worth it when you finally have plants multiplying
I wanna do this so bad! Looks fun af
"These plants have been in the same jar since August of 2023" extremely relatable
Uh you can clone animals this way. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7325846/
This works but it's so nice to build yourself a little flow hood. Especially when you have so much sterile work to do so often.
I’d love to build a flow hood when I have the space! It’s next up on the list. Spending a few hundred on a filter also hurts the wallet 😜
Nice work do you sell cultures
I do! Only within Canada though, I haven’t tried shipping internationally yet
Texas stickles
Oo nice work
Thank you!! I’m so excited to see this one grow
Please do more videos! I am new to ptc and want to learn from experienced people.
This is helpful. Most of the plants I want are carnivorous plants and the cheaper ones are in tissue culture.
Do you use flow Hood?
I don’t! I’ll be making a video soon on the still air box that I use ☺️
@@Parkfolia thank you
@Parkfolia, great info! By the way, what brand and model lights are you using on the racks behind you?
They’re Barrina lights! I believe the LED T8 version
I hope you do more!
