With respect, the Carter Family did not write “Wildwood Flower”. They recorded a version, using the music and almost all of the lyrics, of an older song song called “I’ll Twine ‘Mid the Ringlets” written in 1890. See Wikipedia “Wildwood Flower”. Before copyright legislation was enacted this was pretty common.

I'm getting my neice started on guitar, so I was looking for a teacher to help her. You do a real fine job. I hope you make a good living with these videos because you need a smaller guitar! When you reach 60+, your right shoulder is gonna really hurt! Maybe you should try a Taylor Mini or a Martin LX series... So tell your hubby that a kindly old gentleman from rural, southern Appalachia is concerned about your right shoulder, and you need a new "guit-fiddle" for Christmas! (That's an old Bluegrass players' term.)

Teaching guitar ? Shall I share a small valuable tip? Start your videos with playing on the guitar what you are about to teach. Chords, strumming pattern, tabs and theory all that must come later. If you don't play your guitar within 20-30 seconds people just move on.

Music is all about time. When someone is new to learning guitar. Counting the rythum out would be better than... Down Down Up Down Down Up...or DDUDDU... Wouldn't ( 1 2&3 4& ) be better. Because it's important to know where beat 1 is....
