It's so sad to see him joking around with the noose, you can see that suicide was the last thing on his mind. I'm sad I never got to see Derek perform. I was supposed to see FIR in Ventura last year, but they had to cancel to deal with his fiance's cancer. Derek, thank you for starting Falling in Reverse and making the band what it is today. You're an absolute legend, and will never be forgotten. RIP

I've been a fan since before Ronnie was released from prison and their name was From Behind These Walls. I've been with this band through all their progression and maturing, through the ups and downs, the success and the drama. I myself have matured from a 16 year old kid to a 26 year old man while following this band every step of the way. I've been to 15 of their concerts in 4 different states. Members have come and gone, but Derek has always been a constant. He never seemed to care about the clout or the fame , instead he stayed loyal while only concerned with the music, not all the rest. This band has been a huge part of my life since I was a teenager and I will never forget the way their music/shows have made me felt over the years. Derek may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. Derek Jones forever <3 RIP man.
