this sounds amazing! could you make a tutorial on sound design and volume automation?

"Let's listen to this melody. What's wrong with it?" Nothing. You can make melodies as you sudgested, intentional, to the point and very "professional", but using "many notes" (making your music directionless) is not a "mess" it's an artistic choice you can make. Never in my life i've heard from anyone who are not composer\producer "Eww, man, this melody have so many notes" or "I wish this melody would lead me to some resolution inslead of mumbling around". People just listen to your music. If it's cool and pretty they will like it. If it dosent - they don't.

My problem is the melodies, I make great chord progressions, I use the notes in the chords to do the melody, I watched a lot of videos about it, but it sounds so bland, and repetitive and strange, how do I improve in that?

Use less notes, avoid useless notes :)
