Ophir Pass
We take Ophir Pass to Telluride to meet Sam to do another badge run on Imogene. Ophir is really an easy pass. We did it ourselves, and that says a lot because of my high level of fear of heights. I struggled in Colorado on the trails because of my fear of heights. It is a recurring theme on these videos. Except this one. Sorry for the dirty windshield. I'll do better. Thank you for watching. We thought Colorado was one of the most beautiful places we have ever been.

Rainy day in the Ozarks

We go wheeling on a rainy day in the Ozarks. Turned out to be a great day in the Ozarks. We found some mud, some obstacles, and still dry creek beds. We had a blast and got some of our day on video. Everyone that goes with us just makes it so much fun, and we like to thank them each and evey time. Hope ya'll enjoy the video.

Black Bear Pass the bottom of the steps. As I'm going through the footage of our trip to Colorado and doing the jeep badge of honor trails, I wanted to give our perspective of how beautiful it was, and scary at the same time. I will admit that I'm terrified of heights. I had to be talked into doing the pass by our wheeling family that went with us, and especially Sam. He's the one on the edge s...

    We did Hurricane Creek yesterday and the forestry department graded out all the major obstacles, like the first big rock on the trail, the big tree root, the big rock near the end and the trench. To me they ruined the adventure.

    As a local. I would like to suggest. Please do your airing down, and swaybar changes , at the rest area or some other place. I’m being kind. Me and a friend attempted to use the road a few weeks ago, the Bronco club had 30+ vehicles blocking the road, in front of a residence. Flashing lights and everything. Please understand that this is a public road. It’s extremely inconsiderate to block a road like this to air down your tires and BS. This applies to all of the off road trails. You don’t own the road just because your club decided to do this route. I’m sure I’m going to get hated for this, but seriously think about it. The Hurricane Creek and every other off road trail is for everyone to use. Please be kind and fair to everyone that wishes to use it. Local and visiting.

      Thank you for the comment, I don't hate you for the comment, but the one in the front and the one in the back were locals who run the trail often. You should also recognize that we went further than just off of the trail. Your concerns are legit, specially with big groups, that's why we only go with 10 or less rigs. Thanks for the comment, and hope to see ya on the trail sometime.

      Broncos don’t need to stop to do sway bar changes as they can disconnect on the go in the middle of an obstacle. But you are right to ask for consideration. It shouldn’t have to be asked of them. Common Decency and consideration for others don’t seem to be in the language these days.

    • @jeffkovacs5974
      @jeffkovacs5974 21 день назад

      @jeffkovacs5974 thank you for the comment, but some broncos do need to stop to disconnect. It's not standard on all models, just like jeeps. With these trips, we've not rode our there in a couple of months, but after we get back from Colorado, we're going to start back to riding at least every other weekend. When you're making a trip to Arkansas, just let us know, and hopefully, we can set up a ride. I'm a fan of the Colorado/ Canyon trucks. I wish Dodge still made a Dakota, and it looked like the bigger truck also. You'll definitely like the larger tires. We may come your way around Thanksgiving and run turkey bay, windrock, and gulches. Find that narrow trail you're talking about. Going to decide after the Colorado trip which way we're heading. May just go do a theme park and relax also. Yet to be determined. I had heard that they did that to the trail, but it didn't dawn on me that it was right after we visited it. That sux. Mini vans shouldn't be able to do trails lol. Thanks for the comment and info. Maybe we'll get to ride with ya on the trail someday.

In 2014, friends and I took a road trip from Washington State to Moab, Utah and had a blast on the trails. Before selling it, we took a trip overlanding through Oregon all the way to the Alvord Desert and Steens Mountains. Off-roading and Overlanding was great fun but, I'm getting older. Ozarks on 1424. We run that a lot. It's everyone's favorite, and this that's never run it, ask to run it. We run the whole trail, not just half, and we go up the rocky side, not down. Then to devils knob. From there we hit 1421 and came back to bubs cabin aka Spurgeon cabin then we went to union school house. From there we went a little north and ran 93204A and ended the day. If that helps any

    Nice Video. What would you say would be the minimum lift and Tire size do to this trial? We have a semi stock Gladiator with a 2in spacer lift and 33in tires. That one big boulder on the hill that always gets the passenger rock sliders as well as that big dip are my concerns.

    • @hallumadventures3410
      @hallumadventures3410 2 месяца назад

      Sorry for not getting back to you quicker. My fault. I'd say that a gladiator with a 2" spacer and 33's would be fine. I'm on a Mopar lift, 2" front spacer to level off, and 37's. I still rub the back end on the dips. Just kinda go in this at a slight angle will help, but I do hit the back so much that I don't worry about it much anymore, lol. As far as the rock at the beginning, take it hard driver. You'll be off camber a bit, but it's okay. If you start to rub to much, back up and stack some rocks under your passenger rear tire. There's plenty of rocks there, and just stack them till you clear. You'll have a blast! Thank you very much for the complement on the video. It's our fun with friends that we're capturing.

    Could a bone stock four-door sport do all that ?

    • @hallumadventures3410
      @hallumadventures3410 4 месяца назад

      It can do most of it. I would say it would be fine on the main road, which does have some fun spots. Some of the side roads would give it troubles.

    This looks like a fun day. Nothing too technical but plenty of flexing. Forest service roads?

      It is a lot of fun and not over technical. Allowing for mistakes and learning without punishing the vehicles. It is a forest service road. Thank you for the comment.

      Thanks for the comment, I like hearing about it. A built Toyota does do pretty good. I like wheeling with all brands, there's just not as many wheeling around here, so we don't get much video with them. But I do invite them.

      @silky900 doesn't matter that it isn't a jeep. Take it out and find what it needs, build it as you go, and it'll be just as fun. We run with all brands. It just doesn't look like it because there's more jeeps bought and wheeled. They're all just as capable, some just have to be built a little more than others. Doesn't mean you get left out.
