I do say this rendition of her is a far sight more faithful of a modernized retcon than the overstylized... _attempt_ that was in JJ Trek. I am A-OK with this being retconned in over the classic TOS Constitution-class... especially since it makes the TOS movie refit _make sense_ . I thought as it was from the original TOS that it'd make more sense just to build a new ship from scratch.

So if this is supposed to be the Enterprise Kirk inherits, why are the pylons that carry the engines so different? It looks almost like a refit from one of the movies after the original series. Why can't they be content to duplicate the original considering this is supposed to be the original ship?
