Against The Sun is Orange County’s premier Hard Rock/Metalcore act. With their unique blend of heavy instruments, clean yet intense vocals, and harsh honest lyrics, they create a powerful listening experience that has garnered the band a dedicated following.
After an EP release last year that generated over 240,000 streams, Against The Sun kicked off 2024 opening Anime Los Angeles and a packed show at the House of Blues.
With the release of their new song ‘Light,’ Against The Sun tackle the darkest subject matter to date, suicide ideation. Inspired partly by Chester Bennington’s death, and the band members’ own struggles with mental health, ‘Light’ explores the feeling of a weight being lifted off someone’s shoulders once they decide to commit suicide. It snaps between haunting atmospheric verses reminiscent of depressive episodes and jarring Metalcore riffs that capture feelings of pure dread, anger, and shame.
