@@shannyd1 Daemon in book had close relationship with Nettles and Rhaenyra ultimately ordered her to be executed. Yes, we don't see any incident Daemon raises hand on Rhaneyra but their relationship is not healthy from neither side, they don't trust each other. Rheanyra could only order arrest Nettles or bring her for hearing if she questioned her loyalty, since she knows how much Nettles means to Daemon. Daemon on other hand could fly to Rhaenyra and explained why her fears are unfounded. Whole situation suggest they were at that point married in name only.
@@shannyd1 He murdered her husband Laenor. He got his nephews son killed. He undermined Rhaenyras rule dozens of times. They definitely argued, he was definitely a dangerous and violent man. Why wouldn’t it have happened? He literally cheated on her and left her after her sons were dropping like flies. He groomed her from the start. The relationship was far from perfect.

Marriage between first cousins is allowed in Islam, it is a common practice among Muslim communities. Judaism also permits the marriage between first cousins. Adam married his own flesh and blood, the Lord God created Eve from Adam's body part. And Adam's children marry each other - Cain and Abel are married off to their own biological sisters. And mankind propagates and evolve from that incest marriage which are allowed by the Lord God at that time. So yeah, while today marriage between the immediate family members among the adherents of Abrahamic faiths is prohibited by the Lord God, it was not such a foreign concept among the adherents of Abrahamic religions who are familiar with their holy books and scriptures, who are familiar with the history and origin of mankind as narrated in their holy books and scriptures.
