Pantera the absolute greatest metal band on the face of the earth. Sabbath and others started and made metal but Panfuckingtera took it and ran hard better than any other band. Phil,Dime,Vince and Rex honestly cannot be touched. Name me one band better you cant because no one is better.

Thanks for dropping this. Hard to find quality live stuff from these guys. Miss this version of Zakk. His soulful Greg Allman like voice and that band. Shit James Lomenzo is a monster on bass and Brian Tichy is the most underated drummer the world over. Wish he would slow it down and get back to this heavy soulful southern jazz metal, a bit tired of the Ozzy Viking Zakk we get now.

Not an easy guitar player to replicate. Especially on this one. Try tabbing that shit. LMAO. He is so unique in his playing. Great job though.

Huge DLR/VH fan but Dave lost his cool ways when he left VH. Now he’s kinda goofy on stage. Weird facial expressions and manic arm and leg movements. He doesn’t really sing anymore, he shouts the lyrics. They played Unchained and he was shouting and screaming so much I hardly recognized the song.

Roth always really gave it his all out there but the whole thing is a symbiotic relationship after all. His particular personality type means he needs to be in front of an audience to feel alive & vice versa.

Look at this setlist and look at vh’s setlist for the 5150 tour… if you were a VH fan… this was the show to see. Dave played all the big VH hits, a few deeper cuts, a few covers he was famous for singing and most of the eat’’em and smile album. He was singing, remembering the words, and the band was having a great time putting on a great rock show. wtf was VH doing? The entire 5150 album and like the 3 Dave songs Sammy was willing to sing? I would have felt ripped off by the 5150 tour. Sorry guys you shouldn’t have let Sammy poo poo sing your hits and dulling down your show to the crawl of an early 70’s hard rock show.

Wish I could have seen them back then. Saw them in 2014 and they just mailed it in.

Since VH never got to do a 1984 tour this was the closest thing to it - I guess along with the VH 5150 tour as both bands did songs from 1984. I saw both bands on cover the songs. And the DLR band did them better - ONLY because the songs don't sound the same when Sammy sings the lead. Vai, Sheehan & Bissonette - and later Greg's brother on Bass after Sheehan left the band for the Skyscraper tour were fantastic. Great stuff.

I saw them in 86 and 88. Both concerts were phenomenal, superhuman. Nobody brought the fun and soulful hard rock like Diamond Dave in his prime. He was the G.O.A.T. of rock frontmen!
