It’s Not a Fashion Statement… literally has my favorite guitar riff ever. It’s soooooo good
You can get a bridge set like the old style harmoica bridges that have extra adjustment. That resolves the issue. You shouldnt have to but it is a fix for this particular issue.
Didn't know that man... I already dug some new holes and moved the bridge a few milimereters back haha. Well not me, my luthier😅. But it would have been good to know that before. Thanks anyway, someone watching this can use the info! Thanks for watching man!
Man, I just bought this exact guitar, and I'm having exactly the same problem. Sounds terrible "out of the box" and also needs some fretwork. Trying to decide now wether to return the guitar or put in the effort to fix it. Wish I had seen your video before I bought the guitar; I would have chosen a different one.
Sorry to hear that man. Tbh mine was great out of the box, even the frets were ok. However the problem was the hum and noise from the pickups and paint in the hardware not letting the guitar make proper ground. It can be a great guitar like mine ended up being but I just swapped the pickups and that's it. In your case you have to do more stuff, but in my expierence with cheap guitars (look my 2nd Epiphone SG video) even if you return this one and buy another one at the same price range, you might end up in a similar situation. At least my Jackson didn't had the problem the Epiphone did and was playable. Thanks for watching!
Get new ground wire and replace it the noise wild go away guarantee I have a whole bunch of those js32T series and I don’t have any noise issues
That's good to know man! Did you change the wire in those guitars? Thanks for watching.
@@CarloFenrir yes I did in the ones I got bad noises but the key is on the right wire and a little thicker the comes with 20w you can go with 16w o gauge on the bridge that’s the one that always have the issues hope to solve any noise problem
I have the woodgrain Rhoads and the king with floyd rose no hum in either
The woodgrain has the gold hardware right?
@@CarloFenrir 👍
Yeah, it's the black paint they use. But I'm glad you don't have to deal with that, man. Enjoy you guitars! Thanks for watching.
Put it in paint thinner
I put the EMGs already
Seymour Duncan blackouts can connect to the emg solderless system
Really? That's good to know!
@@CarloFenrir yeah man I have 2 guitars with a blackout in the bridge and an emg 85 in the neck it’s awesome!

Yo brother were you playing thru that crush pro ? Been thinking about grabbing one
Yes, I'm using it. Now that I think about it, I should do a review about it. It's a great amp man, I love it. The clean channel is awesome for prog metal and stuff like that because it's not super bright. And the gain channel it's a some kind of combination of orange original sound and a more modern approach. It's a very versatile amp. Mine is the mkI but there's a mkII now. I want to buy the mkII too, I think it is voiced a little bit more modern. And to me it sounds a lot like a tube amp, at least on recordings, in person my 5150 just obliterates everything.
@@CarloFenrir that would be awesome you had that thing sounding nasty best I have heard it sound on you tube for sure thanks man I appreciate the answer back hope your channel takes off brother
@tjeffwar thanks! And it was the camera audio. And thanks for the kind words!
love all of these, but headfirst for halos has to be my goat 🔥awesome skills man!
if you have the skill you can plug the old bridge screw holes and drill new ones using a drill press. Ive done it to a few of my guitars that i had for a few years that have compressed due to the climate i live in. The problem is most likely that the wood wasnt dried properly when they made the guitar, due time the wood has dried and compressed. pushing the bridge a few millimeters. The climate might also be a factor since wood is "alive". Or they just didnt give a shit at the factory. I know it sucks when you spend money and things dont work the way they should. Been there myself. once bought a brand new ibanez prestige for about 2000$, after 3 weeks the neck was so bent it looked like a skateboard ramp. i tried straightening it by clamping it to a really straight surface for almost 9 weeks. I used a heatgun every now and then and a wet rag to make the fibers expand, it fixed it somewhat but not entirely. i sold it later at a reduced price since you normally dont get your money back or anything when its a climate issue. Also you should change the bridge on that guitar while youre at it.
Man, first of all thanks for watching and commenting. And what you say is 100% accurate. This video is kinda old, right now I fixed the guitar by puting the bridge a few milimeters back. Well, not me, I don't have the skill but my luthier did. And I'm sorry to hear that something like that happened to a 2000$ guitar of yours, I would go insane to be honest. But like you said, we can't do much with things that are of a natural cause like the weather. Putting the bridge a few millimeters backs solved the issue, however I feel guitar brands should be careful with the QC. Because Epiphone is a big brand, it's not just a unknown guitar brand that just appear out of nowhere. It was an easy fix but it can be a nightmare for someone else. Thanks again for watching and for the info!
Mcr is the perfect blend of metal and punk ❤
Ikr there's something about them... Hope they make a new album soon.
Amazing guitar bro, congrats!
Thanks man! I've always loved the Jackson Rhoads and completely ignored the kelly, but it's just as cool! Thanks for watching.
New to Cubase pro 13- I am trying still to figure out why I dont hear anything from the amps? I pull them up and click in my daw but they dont work... I pulled up a template with vocals and distortion guitar, dragged and dropped an amp in, tried playing, but changed nothing... what do I d o?
If everything is well set up, try to turn on the monitor button. It's a little speaker on the track settings (where the name of the track and other stuff is), it's on the side of the record icon. That way you can hear your guitar with the amp plugins through your monitors. I hope I could've helped you. Thanks for watching!
@@CarloFenrir thank you very much for taking the time to reply...they only work if i open them up from the insert... so I learned something new.. took me all day and I bout lost my mind, but figured it out...thank you very much
@cassandrahuskey8866 No problem. I've been there haha, took me a lot of time to figure eveything out. Just remember that all plugins go in the Insert section. And then you turn on the monitor button.

I’m suprised you didn’t have the breakdown to Mama on this list. Or any part of Sleep
@@Archer.zip0 Man, Mama is one of my favourite songs by them! However, the guitar riffs weren't that appealing to me as a metal musician. Besides, The Black Parade came out when I was already into metal music and it wasn't a big influence as the first 2 albums. But both songs you mentioned are super cool. And yeah, I should've put Mama at least as an honorable mention. Or maybe I should do a 2nd part idk haha. Thanks for watching!
@@CarloFenrir I think a second part would be cool but you’re the artist
fantastic selection. Also damn your tone and playing sound choiceeee
Thanks for the kind words! I tried to replicate the tone of 3CfSR but I think it's not that accurate. Thanks for watching.
Somehow I managed to never listen to Thank You For The Venom when I went through my initial phase of listening to MCR. Coming back and listening to that song for the first time instantly made me pick up my guitar and start trying to learn it lmao. Subjectively I'd probably have songs like This Is How I Disappear and I Never Told You What I Do For A Living in my list but tbh thats cause I'm not as familiar with their first album. Personal preference aside, awesome video! I've gotta go give I Brought You My Bullets a full listen at some point here.
Yeah, it happens because a lot of people focus on the more mainstream songs, and other less known songs sometimes get overlooked. But the riff in Venom is just nuts! I love it. You should listen to their first album, it's pretty good, it has a different vibe but I really like it. However, these riffs I chose are my favourite riffs but I love their first 2 albums in their entirety. For example Cemetery Drive is a song I can listen again and again. Thanks for watching!
They destroyed the Olympics with that performance.
They obliterated that opening. Best Metal performance ever.
Love metal. But jesus wins and loves all

i miss them. everything about revenge is amazing. that album is what makes mcr, mcr to me - their whole soul is in it and it shows with all those sick riffs!! can't get venom anywhere else! ray toro and frank iero the legends you are!!!!
That's very true. I think that's their best album. Hope we get a new album with some 3CfSR vibes! But at this point idk if they are doing a new album... Thanks for watching!

How’d you get the wiring from the input through the body and a long enough harness
@@silverburst3112 My luthier added a larger cable to make the connection. I think theres a video in YT of a guy exactly modifying a JS32t Rhoads with EMG actives. He does that too. I don't remember the name but try to search the name of the guitar and emgs actives or something. Thanks for watching!
@@CarloFenriremg also sell the longer output and battery cable if you’re ever looking to upgrade it
Good review bro, thank you.
Hey man! It was an unboxing and first impresions video. Sadly the review isn't gonna be positive as this video. Seems the guitar can't get intonated on the 3rd and 6th strings. My luthier told me the bridge on the guitar doesn't have the correct lenght, it needs to be a little bit back and that's why I can't intonate the guitar (othe guy commented that his guitar has that issue too). I tried to apply the warranty directly with the shop cause the amazon return window expired. But their "tech" told me that it was within the normal range. I know how to set my guitars up and I have never had that problem with a guitar, I own 8 guitars (that's why it took me a while to realize the issue, between life, more videos and stuff i didn't set it up right away and the return window on amazon expired). However I never thought that in 2024 I would have a problema like that, but hey, it happens. Sadly where I live I can't make the warranty valid directly with Epiphone because one of the official distributors is that shop. Sorry for the long story haha but if you are thinking about buying it check it out first. Idk if this is a common issue or I was unlucky. I'll go more in depth on the review. Thanks for watching!
Apparently they were listening to a bunch of At The Gates' "Slaughter Of The Soul" during the writing and recording of "I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love" which explains a LOT of the early riffage
Oh, now I remember watching that interview. Of course! And it makes a lot of sense because Metalcore is, at some extent, practically Melodic Death Metal with clean vocals and different lyric topics. Hope you liked the video. Thanks for watching!
deathwish?
It's a great song but I don't think it has a riff that changed my life as the others did. Thanks for watching!
Frank Lero was a really big influence as a guitarist for me.
For me too. Well, the entire band haha. Thanks for watching!
I'd say This is How I Disappear sounds a little influenced by metal as well, at least that was my first impression when I heard the song.
I agree! They have a lot of Heavy metal, Rock and Punk influences in their music. Thanks for watching!
My top to are definitely to the end and give em hell kid
To the End has something about it that I absolutely love. Thanks for watching!
You can really hear the iron maiden influence here
There's a lot going on but it's amazing how they mixed their influences and their style so well! And yes, I think they said that Iron Maiden was one of their influences. Thanks for watching!
hi i looked everywhere and couldnt find that preset. can u please send me the preset? i can give u my mail
Hey whats up! Look for the presets file on the Amplex folder, you have to load it on the plugin. It's there, if not, you can double check in the amplex webpage for the file. Thanks for watching!
Why did ytb recommend me this ONLY a year after ?? That selection's pretty cool, i share almost the same !
Hey! Have happended to me too! I'm glad you liked the video. Thanks for watching!
Where did you place the Noise Killer in your chain for this video? Between your guitar and amp input OR in the amps effects loop? Thanks - Richard.
Hey man! In front of the amp/input. The chain is Guitar - Noise killer - Amp (input).
@@CarloFenrir Cool, I was wondering if it would work for that kind of application. Thanks for the video and the response bro!
@TheJamSpace I think you can use it both ways, just depends if you are running more effects. In my case I'm just using the amp, and the noise gate is the only pedal. Thanks for watching!
The Black Parade album is too overrated.
I don't dislike it but idk it never clicked for me. I like some songs off of it, but I don't think I've ever listened to them like more than 3 times. 3cheers and I brought you my bullets have been on repeat since I was very young. But maybe it's because my taste in music became heavier and they went the other way with The Black Parade. Thanks for watching!
I copied your set up but it doesn't sound like that. What are the exact IRs? The Marshall 1960A G12Ms? (I don't have any Marshall 1960 G12M25 in all my redwirez library). And I get an almost clean sound, it has very subtle gain .
Those are the exact IRs. However look for them for the SM57 position. I think you need to load the J800 preset on the amplex and then dial all the settings. Don't forget the Overdrive. Hope I could've helped you.
Frank coming from a punk/HC background and Ray coming from a metal background, I think it gives them this style thats unique to the band while also being very accessible and enjoyable on the ears, while also leaving space for and complimenting Gerards theatrical vocal style
Yeah, they created a really unique and cool sound. But I think the most impressive and cool thing is what you say about how well everything blends with Gerard vocals. Thanks for watching!
i think Ray also has a classical background, you can hear it in the way their more counterpointy compositions.
It seems that what matters about this model is where the fretboard was made. Chinese is not very good, I have that one. Anyways the freatbord feels like an Ibanez, it is very fast and very light guitar, I use 0.9s, a change of tuners may be usefull
In Epiphone's website says the fingerboard is Okoume but idk if it was actually made in china. I actually like it. And yes the neck is pretty comfy. The only issue with mine were the frets, some were unleveled and the fret ends were sharp. Did you have any problems like that? And yes, I actually swapped the tuners for some Hipshot locking tuners. I'll do a full review later. But all in all, it's a great guitar for modding, great bones. Thanks for watching!
@@CarloFenrir I've been playing it quite a bit practicing and even recording. The fretboard feels very comfortable, fast. The intonation is not perfect. I tried calibrating and it is not perfect like other Epiphones.
@franke_ Man... I discovered the thing about the intonation a few weeks later, I never had that issue with any guitar. Long story short, I'm pissed haha. So the intonation problem is pretty common on other Epiphones? I can't get to intonate de 6th and 3rd string. Of course I'm doing a video about it, but I was trying to see if I just got a bad guitar or it was a more common problem.
@@CarloFenrir I've set a very low action, I don't mind a little string buzz. But the intonation is impossible. Other epiphones are good, it depends on the neck. I cant get the 4th string to intonate. But the body of the guitar is surprisingly light which is very good, its good for practicing. Im playing with 0.9s light and its awesome
Make a giveaway of a leftie guitar!!
Maybe at 10k subs haha
MCR guitarists are so underrated
I agree, I mean they are super famous, but I do think that their guitar work and skills are kinda ignored. However, idk if it's a bad thing, people are really paying attention to what it's important, their music as a whole.
I hope there’s full length versions lol
At least not from me :( but I'm planning to make the full cover of "Thank you for the Venom". Thanks for watching!
Great list, wondering where you would put It's Not A Fashion Statement though 😉
It's funny because that song is somewhat like "I'm Not Ok". They don't have a solid riff IMO (but they have a strong melody tho), but I really like those songs. In fact I love 3 cheers in its entirety. I think I'll be listening to it until I die.
honestly i wana do the same as you buy the jackson but, switch only the bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan SH6B BLK do u think its a good ideea? im mostly looking for more of a black or death metal tone so yea.
Hey! The pickups should be actives to bypass the issue with the hardware paint not letting the guitar make proper ground (active pickups have their own ground cable and don't use the ground cable on the guitar). I was considering the Seymour Duncan Blackouts they are active and around the same price of the EMGs. I think any active pickup will serve you well for death/black metal because they are high output. In fact, I would love to try the blackouts on another guitar. Thanks for watching!
@@CarloFenrirI’ve got blackouts as they came installed on my Xseries Rhoads. They’re very good.
