Hybrids don’t have range anxiety. My Toyota Corolla is a so-called “Mild Hybrid.” The battery has a range of 1 mile. However, that 1-mile battery range will outperform any EV battery on the market. The reason is that a hybrid battery works on half distance. If I were to drive 100 miles the hybrid battery would give a range of 50 miles. If I were to drive 1,000 miles the hybrid battery would give a range of 500 miles. If I were to drive 10,000 miles the hybrid battery would give a range of 5,000 miles. A hybrid battery never loses its charge because it's constantly being charged as you drive along.

I have used the local Sainsbury's chargers twice, but don't need them often as I have a home charger. I went to the cafe and I had to go back to the car with drink in hand because it had gone over 80% - ended up on 90% and drove back with my drink in the drink holder to finish. It's an important point with EVs, if you are stopping for food, shopping, etc. The charging speed is going to be quick. If you are only stopping to charge, it might feel like it takes a while (compared to petrol). I have only charged when stopping to do something and it is always enough time for a big charge!

If true, then it is phenomenal and as for the Ferrari, well personally I could never afford one or this thing but likewise I would never want to own one. I would consider the BYD however but, I will never have the money .

Agreeing with some of these comments EV’s are great if you can charge at home. Ive been biging up EV’s to pals u til you try to solve the charging nightmare for people in flats or only have on street parking 🅿️. Not all counties are approving the charger gullies so some will be unable to charge from home. For me i park on the driveway and my fuel bill has gone from around 3k to a couple hundred quid 💷, however if your not doing the miles you can’t justify the +25k they asking for new or even used EV’s. It wont work for everyone until the infrastructure is in place. The EU are going to change the tax benefits on hybrids in 2025. They were a great idea in the 90’s but its crazy how we only going through the EV transition now and not 10yrs ago… very last minute for govs who seem so concerned over the environment.

I have an EV. You also have to factor in the installation cost of the home charger which can be from £800 to £1200. Also public chargers are usually slow 50 kilowatt chargers wher as if you go for a rapid fast charger at a charging hub th price varies from enormously up to 82 pence per kilowatt. But I still love my EV.
