Hi! We’re Josee and Ernie - Monkey’s with a Passport - fulltime travel vloggers from Canada. We’ve taken early retirement in 2022 and have begun living our dream of traveling the world. We do slow travel; this means we spend one month in each location we visit. This allows us to fully immerse ourselves in the culture and really feel what its like to live there.

I'm thinking of visiting for a month with my wife and two kids (3 & 4 months) do you think its safe for U.s. travels with kids?
Good info. I love hiking but I need to be able to take my time, my body physically can’t be forced to hike faster. Guess I’ll just watch these hikes on RUclips.
Fun fact the guy who started graffiti ally back when it was illegal to paint there has his own spray paint store like a 5 minute walk away from the ally, the shop is called Homebase. He is a very nice and talented guy I recommend checking it out.

Very sorry, I don't recall. I tried looking for the information, but sadly all the tours look the same and I was unable to figure out whom we used. If it helps, the tour included a bottle of champagne and a small picnic basket to be enjoyed upon landing. Thanks for watching. Cheers!

Supply of water is a must especially during daytime. During COVID, I went with my friend for biking 20 miles total and it was scorching heat on a July. Ok with 10 miles but the going back was hard for me because I round out of H2O ( lots of h2o in the car) and I am diabetic. Thought I can make it with 1 and half bottle on the way back and I was wrong. Water supply was cut off because of COVID. I almost pass out. RESTED A LOT Waited for the sun to come down . Now, I carried plenty of water. I’m preparing for Manchu picchu for August 2024, I’m packing water filter as well.
You are so correct, water is key! It sounds to me like you'll do fine, keep training, test yourself before you make it to Peru and you'll have a wonderful time. We were simply unprepared for the entire experience. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers!

This response is mindblowing to us, what did you not like about Tiestos?
@MonkeyswithaPassport 1st of all, the fact that the staff from very beginning is deciding what I want or have to eat was mind blowing. Found a little bit of attitude from couple of servers. Bread was good ..nothing out of extraordinary. A fresh bread with healthy ingredients were within my expectations. For us natives..pricing is above average..so decent fresh bread is expected. Sauces were very good. Locro de papas, excellent, hands down. Shrimp soup...my friend and I have had better seafood soups in Guayaquil, Manta and Miami,FL...so mediocre. I requested the Tiestos dish...the chicken was sooo salty that I was not able to eat/chew or digest it. Overwhelming to the point they noticed I only had 1 bite. They were nice enough to offer to cook it again, great!!! Results..the same..ugh. I humbly asked them while they were cooking it again..what type of salt they use..is it pink Himalaya salt by chance? Again I spoke nice and softly..did not mean to attack anyone..and they were honest enough..they said they never use that type of salt for any of their dishes... Personally I believe to try to bring flavour with a lot of salt to any dish is a cheap choice..there are so many other spices and some of them even healthy! Mojito drink..blend..not enough alcohol (rum) Best mojitos in Ecuador ..at any restaurant in frt of the ocean in Salinas Beach. Did we stay for dessert? Not a chance.

I went here and it was probably the worst restaurant in my visit to medellin
ah that's unfortunate, we went twice and really enjoyed the food. The place can be noisy at times, but this can be said for many restaurants.

Hi Robert, we haven't fully decided yet, but it looks like we will be parking the channel for awhile. We missed working, so came out of retirement and returned to work. I want to work for a year or two, and then decide if we return to fulltime travel. Thanks for always watching.

wow your guide was awesome! just did this hike 2 weeks ago and it was brutal. it’s just too many stairs. rainbow mountain was more rewarding and an easier hike

I will visit the city in November and I'm really excited to try new restaurants since I'm going with a couple of friends from here.
