There is no question Mick Mars is better. He is better to watch he is a better entertainer as well as guitarist.

I was never impressed by Mick Mars ...... then I saw them live ...... he blew me away, he carried the entire band and was inspiring as it was clear he was limited physically but made the instrunment talk and wail and cry. It never dawned on me that any band with one guitarist has to have serious chops to hold up the entire focus and high points musically basically alone. They have to have solid backbone rhythm section that holds it all together to make it work.

John is just on another league, another level

the guitar playing in Motley was always sub par...but it didn't matter, that's not what they were about.

I have Loved John 5 for years. Even More So I have Loved Mick for MANY years. Both Great Guitarists. I Love how John pays Tribute to Mick in how he plays. Both so Gifted. I find fault with the original members of Crue in how they treated Mick. No Respect. To him its not about the Money it is about the respect he deserves.

No one does it better than the man who wrote it.

I really hope Mick makes as many albums and wipes the floor while Mutly Crud''s output..

Ok let’s talk about this because the first thing I notice is John 5 plays Micks solo almost verbatim. When a hired gun plays a solo like that it says 2 things 1. The original solo is the best solo that could be played .it fits perfectly. 2. It’s a serious sign of respect for the writing guitarist…especially someone of John 5’s ability he isn’t just any normal guitarist… you young guitarists need to understand it’s one thing to copy something it’s another to have written it

Before anybody talks about how great mick is they should listen to Motley Crue's demo tapes . That's what mick came up with...then listen to the finshed product. That's what the producer in the studio came up with. The guitar is so far off in the demo you'll say holy shit it sounds nothing the finished song on the record
