Here's some of my avs -Shadow of the Fox trilogy by Julie Kagowa. 5☆ follows a Kitsune girl and a demon boy in a magical feudal Japan setting as they gather more friends and save the world. (My all time fav and gay rep in books 2 & 3) -Red Winter trilogy by Annette Marie. 4.5☆ follows a shrine Maiden girl in a KitchenAid man in a contemporary setting as they save the world, still good but not quite as good as shadow of the fox. -The Codex zalera by Jim Butcher 6 5☆ classic Farm Boy to Hero story done very well (no specific rep that I remember but has a lot of themes of breaking prejudice and different groups being stronger together) -The Bartimaeus trilogy by Johnathan Stroud 4.25☆ good Harry Potter alternative about a boy wizard and a demon he summons that gets bound to him unraveling the magical mystery (May not be appropriate for younger readers due to a somewhat crass sense of humor) First in a series -I LO♡E Iron Widow and have Heavenly Tyrant preordered!! (I would give it a warning against giving it to younger readers it does feel like an adult book with the explicit sx scenes taken out) -Kingdom of Exiles by Maxym M Marrineau it is about a beast charmer which is like a Pokemon trainer, and a shadow assassin going n an adventure to collect magical beasts and solve a mystery (I read the spicy adult version but there is a YA version) -Dragonfall by L.R Lam 4.5☆ good fantasy adventure with romance in a very gender fluid Society Standalones -1000 Steps Into Night by Traci Chee 5☆ gread for younger readers, about a girl who s trying to break a curse before its too late (some trans rep) -The Mermaid the Witch and the Sea by Maggie Tokuda-Hall 5☆ purate adventure with a gender fluid nain characer and sapphic rep. -The Midnight Girls by Alicia Jasinska. 4.75☆ Slow Burn fantasy romance between two witches (sapphic rep) -The Girl who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King 5☆ the authors only kid appropriate book it would be classified as middle grade but there's one f word he refused to take out. Very good story about a girl lost in the woods. Norse myth (for adults but not super adult) The Gospel of Loki by Joanne Harris 5☆ retelling of loki's story -The Witch's Heart by Genevieve Gornichec retelling of loki's story from his wife's perspective (her book the Wraver and the Witch Queen is historical fantasy that takes place in 920's Norway and is great too) My fav translator of old norse texts is Jackson Crawford if you want to check out the origonals! Sorry for the marathon comment.

Loved Kindred. It was my first Octavia E. Butler. I've read Priory twice. It is chunky but reads faster than you would expect. Especially if you break it into sections. I hope your reads go well.

Kindred was so good. It was my first Octavia E. Butler and I ended up reading three more already this month. Haunting Adeline is very dark. Definitely make sure you know what you are getting into. I did enjoy it, though. Have a great month.

I really want to try those Lauren Asher books. I’ve grabbed a book 4 in a series without having the other books before. 😅 This is a great haul!!
