Dont worry..... yes it underperformed on release, and yes the holly press reported it flopping, but the positive reviews (and the almost unanimous criticism of its marketing and release date) means most of the press are spinning the story of a good film that was undermined by it's studio..... a good film that deserved better. With more than a few territories releasing this weekend, the film will hopefully hit 110m+ worldwide box office and while that is FAR from profitable territory, it's far from "disaster" status too. Even the studio knew an animated film would do better on streaming than at the cinema, and this is going to be very strong when it goes digital.

So glad you enjoyed it, I just really hope all this positive feedback gets back to all those involved in making it. (but based on the terrible marketing, it needs to be really put out there by the fans young and old!) nice one mate ;-)

The charge thing happened to me but the money got refunded shortly afterwards. The woman behind the counter at reception showed me her screen and I had only been charged once. Perhaps its the bank that holds the money?

I think to chat have the conversations we want to have with EVERYONE we'd like to... the convention would need to run for weeks. As for regrets... one that pops to mind I'd that I never picked up a tako tank... that's been amended this year.

Good thing the Transformers celebrities like Michael Charles Hill agreed with us fans that Optimus Prime refused Swofford and Morgan’s apology in Return of Optimus Prime. And Rebirth was the happiest ending in G1!

I am tempted to find a G1 Ravage for my Generations display as the Siege one is awful. I am happy with the other modern cassettes, but Ravage is a big miss. I hope they will find a way to update him again soon. Nice review mate. 👍

Good vid. I got burned out the first two days, mainly talking to new attendees (that Norwegian lady you mentioned gave me some nice chocolate from her homeland). By the way it's been nearly a week since the con, but I still keep looking behind me expecting someone to tickle my head - you have hell to pay sir!!!

i mean it sounds like the hotel is no different from usual, the staff always seem to be a tad shitty for some reason from what i remember out issues of the past.

The only problem I had with the hotel was Thursday morning, which was sorted before I left home. I check in on the Hilton app and get a digital key for my room, bypassing the reception. So, the keycard troubles didn’t affect me as it was all accessed by my phone.

Me and Tim got stung by the hotel, our dear dad payed for our hotel and when we got there they needed his card again, why do they charge twice also my complaints about the bar is they stop taking cash at a certain point, why I have the money let me buy a drink with cash, so me and Tim were stuck in the bar late at night with no drinks 😢

With what the Hilton now charge I do think we aren’t getting value for money, room prices are up, food and beverages are up and the audacity to charge an extortionate rate for parking, even with a convention deal through TFN parking was ridiculous, almost £45 for the weekend. They should include parking in the room price or have it free for those attending the entire event, I mean the6 had two events on over the weekend and just with TFN 1800 attendees round up to 2000 to include all staff and vendors @ £110 per night that £220,000 if everyone stayed one night, not like they aren’t making money from the event either as they charge TFN to be the host venue aswell

I'm glad I'm not the only one to have a terrible experience with tye keys and terrible staff at the Hilton. But TFN for me this year was fantastic! I managed to meet my childhood Optimus and picked up some great figures. Was also great chatting you in the early hours in the morning

I like the way you phrased this, acknowledging that kids of a different age (older or younger) would still have their own unique experiences, but that the rise of social media has forever changed things for the last generation or so. Genuinely jealous that your folks got you that older Atari. I had one home computer and it was dire…. I think that was why I drifted towards films. I would note that my generation had computer games on audio cassettes that took 30min to load, so I don’t begrudge todays software updates too much. As for TV…. Never had anything beyond terrestrial and remember channel 4 starting up…. And that wonderday time that TV went 24hrs and didn’t stop at midnight. I will be honest, I don’t think either of us would have survived the modern education system, being ground to dust to gain needless qualifications that don’t mean anything in the wider world. As for bullies…. Yeah…. We had similar experiences. Sadly, the 90’s were where I moved through higher education and into the working world, so I can assure you they weren’t super great to live through as an adult…… but I feel that same feeling of nostalgia for the 80’s and I do occasionally wish I could return to that time……. And of course buy every boxed toy I could and keep it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i can't wait for TFN this year it's been nearly 7 years since i was a first timer but all you guys made me feel welcome and comfortable. good to pass on our experience to current first timers.

From what I remember, you just have to pull up the head.... the guns in robot mode do stop just above his head as that is where they would stop in jeep mode.... I'm sure you just push the button again to allow the guns to continue to his shoulders

I agree with you about Scott McNeil a great guy to have around, one who I’d love to see in the U.K. and is my main choice is Tania Gunadi, did a meet and greet via TFNation a few years back but it would be great to meet her in person, much like Scott she has a lively personality to her. In regard towith other voice actors as much as we say Peter Cullen and Frank Welker would be a dream come true it would take a lot of planning and preparation for that to happen. I’m not sure how Corey Burton is on the convention circuit but he might be a great guest. For other guests I can think of two comic artist would might be great for TFNation, First is Lee Sullivan who worked for marvel U.K back during the 80s and 90s and has been known to work on lots of British comics and properties such as; Judge Dredd, Doctor who and his work on Gerry Anderson art specifically the Redan Thunderbirds comics. Second is Matt Frank more well known for his Kaiju art but had done a select pieces for Transformers across multiple publications.

It's beating a dead horse's skeleton but No Game No Life was robbed honestly. A season 2 could absolutely work with the content of the light novels but the unfortunate legal situation they were in sort of messed everything up. Something more recent that I hope doesn't get abandoned is I'm in Love with the Villainess. The series in general is great for LGBDT representation and the story has an insane twist near the end that I would love to see animated. I haven't watched any of the anime you listed here, and I'm afraid to because it sucks getting attached to a story only to have it be unfinished. Anyway, nice video!

Awesome vid bro, for me to pick up a figure for my collection, I pick up figures I had or a relative of mine had that I enjoyed messing with as a kid (G1 stuff), I am by no means a completionist for most things but for newer figures it has to be fairly show/comic book accurate, a character that I personally really like. There are certain series that I would like to have a complete set at some point but not going mad getting them, such as TF Prime, Beast Wars and the newer takes on the G1 cast (from Kingdom, Legacy, etc, not original G1 toys) and as you are probably well aware, Dinobots are always welcome, especially GRIMLOCK!!! 🤘😁🤘

If it’s munky or rat, I gotta have it. That’s my criteria. 😂 You know I’m a huge Beast Wars nut, John, so that’s the primary focus of my collecting. I’ve kept all my old toys from the 90’s and have bought many from Kingdom, plus all the Masterpiece Beast Wars, but I drew the line at RotB for personal reasons. However, there are still iterations of the OG Primal being made, so I continue to buy those, as well as the TransArt line. For me, it’s more about show accuracy and articulation because I can use them as great references for my artwork and for my photography. I usually pick and choose characters that I relate to the most. If they weren’t in the shows, then it depends on their design and paint apps; what catches my eye aesthetically or is it a beast mode that I really like. I’m not a completionist by any means. I don’t think I’ve completed any of the toy lines, I just have a few toys from several lines, again, mostly the characters that appealed to me in the shows and movies. But I also like to go for the rare stuff and the Beast Wars statues. So my collection is small and somewhat unique because I don’t have the room to display a lot of it, and I try to be frugal with my finances.

For me its the Look/character + No fake Parts + No Partsforming is a must, i do not like that they often make the character look worse just because it has to fit the animation model. (inferno, hoist, seaspray for example)
