fantastic retrospective

i got 2 things 1 THEY ARE NOT ZOMBIES!. 🙄😒. and 2 yea i think this a great game an an it came out at a great time when social media wasn't as promadent as it is today if this game came out in 2023 instead of 2013 the ppl would have hated this game in 2023 calling it boring and everything social media has turn into a hateful place

48:00 Lee is a pretty observant guy,and in Kenny’s words the smartest of the group. He knows something is up with Christa,and Omid when you meet them,it’s even a dialogue option when she sits next to Clementine as Kenny teaches Omid about the train. If you try talking to Christa about it she tells you to mind your own business. He knows “something” is up but truly figures it out by Crawford while in medical where he keeps it to himself. The player is just Lee’s thoughts but Lee will still make his own choices like when talking about his wife to the Cop.

I remember watching Markiplier playing these game and he have to restart the game because he made a HUGE mistake for killing Ashley because everyone wants Ashley and Chris to be together, and it's still the funniest part in Markiplier history. 🤣 🤣

The moment that stands out the most this season was the dog bite. It made me realise that unlike the first game where I wanted to teach Clem life lessons, this game I focused on survival.

What I find ironic is that it’s supposed to be a universe where zombies were never a thing but there’s literally one line where Lee says something like I don’t think Doug is good with zombies or something in the first episode when they are in the drugstore

I chose to stay at wellington... we didnt make all that road for nothing and if it was JUST clem, I would've gone with Kenny, but you gotta think about AJ. If it was an option, I would have left AJ at wellington and kept going with kenny

The prank scene with chris was one of my major critiques with the game, it just felt out of character and like a cheap move to make a 'scary' moment

I never noticed how much it actually changed them. I saw a vid today that basically said jess is confident and in the credits scene she seems so... not there, that she cant really explain much of anything. And by the gods did emily make me absolutely hate her. I wasnt too mad in my first playthrough when she died

When i first played until dawn, it was 2016, i had just started working a few months prior and my coworker was like im gonna sell some of my games and a headset. This was one of the games. And i played it after he explained what it was like, and i was pretty shooketh to say the least. I wanna say i killed almost everybody. Like 3 people lived. And jess and ash were guaranteed deaths. (It took forever to not have jess die) and also josh. I was like woah man, this was amazing. And the amount of hours i spent playing when i wasnt working was unhealthy even for a fresh hs graduate. But i never found all the totems or info. To this day i replay it so much just trying to find all of the stuff in the game

I had to leave kenny, clem and aj needed a chance to survive. Plus it leaves kenny a chance to survive too

Where season 3 at?!?!!

The thing I really hated about this game was the gaslighting. Yeah, no one meant for those two girls to die from that prank, but not a single person who was in on it showed any remorse or even shame from what happened that night. The psychologist called it "A stupid little mistake." On the anniversary of their deaths, Mike and Jessica were throwing snowballs at each other, having a jolly old time. And somehow, the game wants you to see them as the heros while their brother is the villain? These people are garbage, and they all had it coming. What goes around comes around. I laughed when Jessica told Mike about how insecure she is😂😂 As if the viscious prank she set up didn't make that obvious enough.

I always laugh at peoples description and opinion of Larry when plating through the game yet, they're Never able to go through with helping Kenny taking him out in the cold room 😂

This was a wonderful review, I really enjoyed your takes on things and I agreed with so much that you've had to say. I would love to see you cover the second game.

Many people I've heard complaining that the game is full of cliché horror movie tropes, but I don't see how it's bad! Yes, maybe it is predictable for people who watch a lot of horror (unlike me), but I think that tropes are good if there is a good reasoning and if it is well thought out without plot holes. I think the game made a pretty good job at making the story not hard enough to not be able to predict what certain choices will bring and yet still keep a few twists in the plot and some rather surprising deaths.
