Where did you go mam, please come back 😢😢
Hi! I was busy writing books. Deep learning makes me more quiet. But yes, for followers like you, I need to talk more on Jainism. Certain family responsibilities have delayed my next series. I think I will be able to restart by August, 2024.
Thank you so much for video
My pleasure. I've started a new video series 'Jainism 365 Days'. Do watch it. Thanks!
Great work 🙏🙏
Thank you!
What a scholarly lecture 🙏
Thank you! I'm honored 🙏
Thank you ☺🙂
My pleasure!
Why did you stop making videos
It was too time consuming. Meanwhile I wrote two books on Jainism and published them. They are 'Jainism: Life Science' and 'Jainism: FAQs'. They are available on amazon. I am planning to shoot and upload new videos after paryushan i.e. September, 2022.
Very informative. Thank you 🙏
Thank you!
Thanks Manisha ji. I'm a Tamilian Jain . Though by birth I'm a Jain, i only got to visit our temples and worship without knowing more about the path of Jainism only vegetarianism and non-violence have been inculcated from elders. But when i wished to know more about what Jainism actually preaches in a structured way which one can study and understand the actual essence of it, some told to start at Tattvaartha sutra, some told few other books, there isnt a way by which a novice can learn these information. I got to know about you in Quora when i was searching for the above query. Nice to view the explaination you give for beginners. Pls suggest if you know the way to learn Jainism from a beginner level. Best wishes for your channel wish you post more such videos !!
Thank you Nirupamaji for your positive response! I agree with your concern towards the absence of structured curriculum for Jainism. It’s an unorganised segment, restricted to various sects putting efforts at the local level. However, most people limit themselves to basic rituals like pooja, fasting, food restrictions and samayik-pratikraman. In fact, that’s just a tip of an iceberg. Actual and vast knowledge of Jainism is stored in its scriptures (32 agamas). But very few people are interested in learning them. For those who wish to learn, there is a lot written in Hindi and Gujarati. I guess quite a bit of it is also available in Tamil. But, there is hardly anything in English. My children faced the similar issues. So, they motivated me to prepare content that will help in learning Jainism systematically. You must have seen my ‘Jainism: Life Science’ series. That’s the first step to learn higher Jainism. I have also published a book with the same title, having a detailed account of all kinds of living beings. It’s available on Amazon and Kindle. The next one ‘Jainism: FAQs’ will release by March end. The core of Jainism is its karma theory, and I’m forming a base for people to learn that in the future.
You may also follow my Instagram @truthandtalesofficial, wherein I every day post one Jainism fact. You will learn 365 things about Jainism in just one year.

Thank you so much for presenting in English , that to with pictures, very clear and very good presentation. I'm in USA and I don't know Gujrati that well to explain it to my kids. This will help me a lot.
You are most welcome. Kindly also have a look at my kindle e-book 'Jainism: Life Science' in which I have explained all types of living beings in detail.
Thank you, thank you for unveiling much mystery surrounding Jainism.
Your words of appreciation mean a lot to me. It took a lot of time for me to understand the actual bone structures. I had to go through many reference books before presenting this video with graphics.
Appreciate it ..... Easy to understand .. Make more videos....
Thank you Apurv Jain. The new series of 'Basic Concepts' has begun. You are kindly requested to go through it.
Thank you so much mam
Most welcome 😊
Are heaven and hell really there ? Or is this just a belief of the Jains?
Jain scriptures have given a detailed account of heaven and hell. Not only their locations but also how they look and feel is also depicted. It is as per Lord Mahavira's preaching, who was omniscient. He could see everything with his special knowledge called Keval Gyan, which is beyond humanly senses. It is directly connected to the soul.
@@manishagala-jainism I have another question: when we chant the Navkar Mantras, do our sins get destroyed ?!
@@samayasarjain4559 Yes. I would prefer a word karma over sin because we look forward to become karma-free. By chanting navkar we bow to and appreciate virtues of all the higher knowledgeable beings. When we respect and appreciate knowledgeable people, we indirectly respect knowledge. This reduces our gyaanaavarniya karma that obstructs keval gyan. By bowing, we keep our ego in control. Maan (ego) is a kashaay, which is a type of mohaniya karma. That too is an obstacle in the path of salvation. Sin is just the type of karma that gives pain at the time of fruition. Sometimes, even good karma turn to be an obstacle, if we get carried away in pleasure and misbehave, forming fresh bad karma (or sin).
@@manishagala-jainism I'm sure there's nothing wrong if we use *Navkar Mantras to fullfil* our worldly desires, then, we can focus on Salvation and Moksha🙏🙏.
@@samayasarjain4559 It is absolutely fine to have all the materialistic luxuries. Lord Mahavir's top 10 shravaks were billionaires. Punya tattva is responsible for providing all the worldly comforts and luxuries. It also provides comfortable environment for spiritual growth. People living in dire conditions are so preoccupied in their struggle for survival that they cannot even think of spirituality. While in comfort, one just needs to stay alert about how he is spending his free time. I too have an option of playing cards in the afternoon or learning Jainism. I have chosen the second option. Your choices matter!
Thank You Manisha. 🙏
My pleasure 😊
Manisha, - I see you before your videos begin, - pressing your index fingers to one another. Manisha - what does this mean ? An interconnected 'oneness' among all things. 🌄 Thank you Manisha. 🙏
You got it right, Jackie. It indicates the interdependent nature of the universe. All of us are connected. We support each other to grow and survive. Earth gives us a base to stand on. Our body has water based fluids. We breathe in air. Plants and for some, other living beings provide food. Fire helps in digestion. In return, all these lower beings earn good karma for helping others, which eventually brings them up in the life chain.
Wonderful, thank you. Since my youth in school, I've been attracted to Jainism. I am very unsure why this is, as I was born and raised in the west. I learned of Jainism while in college. Religion was a very dear subject and study of mine. After a life time of western thought (and I know this may sound strange) but the ideas and wisdom of the east supplanted my old indoctrination. I would like to learn much more about Jainism; where or how you worship - and how one lives their lives. I would like to read Jain writings and perhaps meet people who are. You are a much appreciated addition to U-Tube. Thank you.
I am happy to know that my videos are helpful in understanding Jainism. You have motivated me to work more in this direction. What we call spirituality or religion is nothing but the soul's true nature. When a soul sees its reflection somewhere, it gets attracted towards that path. All the philosophies ultimately worship virtues. The path they follow may be different and sometimes longer. The longer the path, the more are the chances to get stranded. So, it is always better to choose a shorter and cleaner path. Every soul is omniscient. Let it decide the right path towards its purity. jainelibrary.org has many Jainism books in English, available for free download. You may explore it. You will need to visit India someday to get the true essence of Jainism and experience how radical Jains and monks live. Please feel free to contact me for any further guidance regarding Jainism.
@@manishagala-jainism Thank you for the reply miss. Related to your suggestion, it genuinely occurs to me that visiting India has in-fact been my heart-felt wish now for some time. My true motivations however are living 'in' India for a period of about two years. This is extremely important to me. I cannot know, understand, learn and genuinely appreciate the lives of another people until I actually live with them; there is no other way for me. My interests in India are culturally varied indeed (I have studying Hindi language for some time now). Yes (as I smile to myself) the lives of true Jain's are different indeed ! The average westerner would be truly shocked; can you imagine the average westerner giving-over his/her life to the study, the practice, the asceticism of true Jainism ? Thank you again miss for your very welcome presence and instruction.
That was wonderful. Where were you during my comparative religions class in school. Thank you for a lengthier and genuine look at Jainism.
Thank you Jackie Reynolds! I was busy learning. One needs to understand complex things properly to explain it to others in a simple format.
Much- Much better than learning from any book. Thank you.
Pleasure
I liked your presentation very-very much. Jainism has been very attractive (for me) since I began my studies in histories, languages, religions, and all philosophies. Thank you for sharing.
I'm happy to know that my videos are helpful.

What About Using A Nicotine Vaporizer?
Vapour is made by heating water. When you mix nicotine in it, that becomes nicotine vaporizer. Yes, watery bodies do get killed in that procedure. Jainism has given guidelines for do's and don'ts. Then it is a personal call. Thought process also plays a vital role when you carry out any activity.

How to deal with spiders and mosquitoes
Appearance of spiders and mosquitoes in a place indicate lack of cleanliness. The best way would be to keep all the nooks and corners of the place clean. If spiders are spotted, then they may be carefully picked up using plain paper or tissue paper and discarded outside in a safer place. I use big size plastic strainer and a magazine to trap mosquitoes in it. Once caught, I release them outside the window and shut the glass. It is also observed that mosquitoes enter homes during dusk and dawn. It is advisable to keep windows, doors etc shut during that time.
Waiting eagerly for the next set of videos mam. Thank you for all the information that you have shared.
