I've never been one to patronize, or blow smoke up someone's ass, so I'll be honest, I'm not digging this, it's gone really far from your talents and sounds like something uploaded to sound cloud, anyone familiar with your early works I'm sure wouldn't have a hard time agreeing. I'm sorry to sound so harsh, and I know you must have put a lot of time , energy and effort in to this, but it's just not you and does not play to your natural abilities and talents. As a huge fan of the original, you NAILED this. It’s an iconic song and IMO most of the covers out there miss the mark- it seems like singers often try too hard, and they don’t let the song breathe at all. Here, you just totally got it right Kayla!! It maintains the intimate and beautiful feel of the original, but in your own way, and it’s very impressive. Absolutely my favorite cover of this song ever!
