Can it be used with the pro arms ?
What’s the difference between the “Ready Rig Vega” (which I think mentions “v2” on the website) and “Ready Rig Nimbus”? I can’t find any comparison videos on RUclips :( They both have about the same price, so I assume they’re equally good, but for different things? Is it the crossbar only, that’s the only difference? And if so, can it be purchased separately, as an ad-on? Because Vega is available now, while the Nimbus is “pre-order”. Could someone buy the Vega now and just that crossbar later, as an ad-on?
So much better than the terrible easyrig.
Is there any tricks you balancing a lighter load? I’m using a smaller camera and gimbal package and carbon fiber ring. The Vega actually seems to have too much power to get the benefits with the lighter camera load.

@@readyrig hi! Yes, the support arms aare all the way to the shoulder fulcrum. It balances, but doesn't seem to get the benefit of the Vega bands with so little fulcrum. It seems like heavier loads end up with less 'bounce'?

Wow, $1,199.99 (on SALE) ... not the price point I was thinking :(
@@ubiFire definitely up there haha. But if you’re wielding the ideal camera rig (15-25 pounds+ Heavy cinema rigs) than you’re probably not as worried about the price. It’s something you can budget into new gear acquisition on a large client job of some sort. This is something a DP could expense for just a single-day job, and then have in their kit going forward. Single arm w/ Vega has been great for when I shoot on my Epic Dragon DSMC1 at around 13 pounds with a PL mount lens. What I’m extremely curious about is in the FAQ they hinted at something called the “Nimbus Free Axis” as an upgrade path.

aside from the method of attachment to the rig, what new functionality does this bring to the operator?
Similar functionality, but we reduced the overall weight (the DJI version had heavy aluminum 'pucks' that were like maces) and we improved reliability of the system. The old DJI Ready Rig Quick Connects were a DJI product and often broke. We made a stronger, more reliable version to replace the old DJI product. Beta testers like the feel of tilting more than the previous version. Come try it out at NAB 23 if you're there, well be at the Atlas Lens booth!

Just a paid promotion for a dude who’s never used a gimbal vest “are those ball bearings....” come on... I started with the Ready Rig, still have it, moved to ArmorMan 2 for mobility, the GS vest is so much nicer but the design doesn’t allow for the same mobility, follow is fine, lead has always been a problem for gimbals but side track is near impossible on the GS without reorientation of the gimbal... what are the real benefits of Vega!?
Thanks for your feedback! The big difference between the VEGA and GS is the stronger suspension system. You get way more weight support across the entire range of motion with VEGA, giving the operator more longevity and eliminating the "step" from the shot. We hope you'll try it sometime!
