There were back-taxing and departing traffic on the airfield, which left me some time to conduct a long canyon approach to land on runway 17. Look out for the rafters on the left side of the river, just before the runway. Area is the Middle Fork of the Salmon River within the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness.

Hoodoo Meadows flyover at around 9,500 feet. The airstrip is situated at 8,262 feet and you can get a feel for its elevation by observing the surrounding peaks and valleys. Glad this one was reopened last year after several decades of overgrowth and closure.
