Simple Sourdough Starter Maintenance!
This does work, but I’ve learned - not all the time. Aside from that, it does help.
❤👍👍👍
Where the hell do you buy water Buffalo???????
It wasn't purchased, it was harvested.
I can't wait to try the tenderizer! Blessings.
Thank you! You too!
I'm very excited to try this. I have denturies now! Hope it helps! I'm a meatahoulic
All the meat here in the Philippines is tough because they don’t age beef. Too expensive to store beef. They want to sell it as quickly as possible.
Hopefully this can help you out!
There are lots of ways to tenderize meat. Baking soda will work but there are better methods. I suggest searching for Guga's videos. He has tested numerous methods. Of the most successful there seems to be a recurring factor, which is acid. He's used Sprite, sparkling water, lime juice, etc. They are all acidic. If youve ever made aguachile or ceviche you know that acid chemically cooks food.
I'll certainly check out Guga's videos. Thank you for the suggestion! We use lemons when initially processing our deer to pull out some of the gaminess. But I personally like the baking soda water method, because I usually always have it on hand and it's a neutral flavor.
@@WalnutPoundCakeYOU CAN TOTALLY OMIT GAMEY-TASTE IN VENISON “IF” YOUR WILLING TO PACK ICE IN BETWEEN LAYERS OF VENISON BETWEEN 5 - 7 DAYS, TILT YOUR ICE-CHEST TO DRAIN BLOOD 🩸 OUT, ADD ICE AS NEEDED AND THE VENISON WILL “”NOT”” HAVE ANY BLOOD IN THE MEAT-NO GAMEY TASTE AT ALL 👏👏👏 WELL WORTH THE TIME & WORK… THEN SLICE, CUBE AND GRIND ALL THE VENISON ✔️
Perfectly done Thanks for sharing
If you don't like the gamey taste of wild meats, this will also remove it.
I soak all small game and fish in salt water overnight, removing the gamey flavor.. deer is best to let age for a few days (the bacterial works the same way). Buttermilk also works (again, enzymes/ acidity)
You mentioned that you wouldn't recommend this method on a thick roast? How come?
Because the baking soda solution is working on the area that it can touch. It would end up still being tough in the middle. Or if it sat too long, the outside would become mushy. Usually with a tough roast, like a chuck roast, just a longer roasting time will make it fork tender. But, if you do decide to experiment with the baking soda solution and a roast, let me know what you discover! 😁
@@WalnutPoundCake Thank you.
Great idea!
Thank you! I eat way too many of them! 😄
I have a lot of sodium bicarbonate to use as 🐀 poison. This is a great idea as cheap cuts often end up in my dogs dishes.
Absolutely delicious, the best sharing
Thank you so much!!
Absolutely delicious
That sounds and looks yummy!
Will be trying!!
If you ever make chocolate covered strawberry, you can bring me some. This is Shelly your second cousin don’t take it to nobody else. Lol
I'll have to put that on my agenda! 😁
Would this work on pork chops? Thanks 😊
I've never tried it on pork chops, but I would think so. Probably a thinner pork chop would come out better than a really thick one, if I had to guess.
@@WalnutPoundCake - Butterfly a pork loin, apply this technique, then wrap it around some stuffing and bake. 👍
Brine the pork chops in salt for at least 4 hrs, then rinse and marinate for as long you want to.
@@edolinaoconnor4365 thanks 😊
OMG I would have LOVED to have tried that one. My fav DQ blizzard is the choc covered cherry and I always asked for extra...
BUT with all your chickens... no eggs, LOL
I know! 😆 Well next time that I make it, I'll bring you some!
So what's your favorite ice cream flavor? And bonus points if you can tell me how many times that I said, "scoopable." 😂
Yummy. I love homemade ice cream. The true secret to solving the 2nd day concrete ice cream problem is eat it all the day you make it! TaaDaa! Great video.
3 scoopables.....I think. My favorite flavor is vanilla. Do I win some? LOL
Thanks for saying host😊
Oh my goodness! I love that salad. You are correct…soooo easy to make and soooo delicious.
I had to give you a shout out for making it famous! 😁👍
This is your eldest cousin’s favorite!
Duly noted! 😁👍
What's up with the color of the ice cream, says my family. 😆Well it doesn't have any red food coloring, to give it a pink hue. And I use my own chicken's eggs, which are very orange in color.
Looks too yummy ❤
Thank you!
Perfectly done
Looks too delicious and tempting ❤
Tell me again about using this as a dip for chips. 🧐
You combine the soups, the rotel tomatoes, chicken and cheese and heat that by itself. You can either bake it, or heat it in a crock pot. If you have a small amount, you could microwave it. Then use your tortilla chips for dipping. 😁
I saw your “helper” sniffing and hoping. 😊
😂 He is frequently hanging out, hoping that I'll "drop" something.
Superbly done Thanks
Thank you very much!
Yummy...I want to taste one of those!
Looks delicious! I'll have to share this with my friend who makes sourdough goodies. New sub! I love coming across and supporting fellow small youtubers! Subscribing to help you reach your next goal and look forward to more content🤗💖
Thank you for your video, I am brand new at sourdough starter. Most all videos i have watched have their starters in glass jars. Do you use all the starter you have in the large container? I am thinking of using a small glass bowl. I have to wait until this spring and summer when my house stays warm. I turn my heat off when I am away from home and when i am sleeping at night. Thanks again for your video.
I think a lot of people use jars because it's easy to secure a cloth or paper towel on the top with a rubberband. Plus it's nice to watch it get all bubbly! I normally keep mine in the glass container, in this video. When I first began with my sourdough starter, I discovered that a mason jar was too small for me. But I cook/bake with mine, just about every day. No I definitely haven't used all of the starter in the plastic container yet. But I've made a dent in it! 😄 Thank you so much for your kind comment! And I wish you happy baking when you get your sourdough going! Keep me posted on it!
