Texas Wheelie Work on DRZ400 and WR450 in the Streets
i'm doin the rust on pickup, will raptor it in a couple of months. and to see how hard you worked. i'm 67 and it just might be the end of me ha ha, good job son
Thanks for the vid, but the plug on the side of the case is not for level. Fill until fluid comes out of the plug/overflow pipe in the pan. There's a great view of the overflow pipe in the pan at 9:15 in the video.
So nice
I'm very happy with it!
Well done!
Thanks!
Looks like shit
What brand is this? I've always ever owned cheap garbage ones for my yard and would like to change that
"Ego" is the brand. I own several of their lawn tools now and am extremely impressed. Their trimmer and leaf blower is actually superior to anything I've ever had that was gas powered.
Wow I can see that possible for a blower but a trimmer has the power to out do a gas engine is inpressive
@@24.k.g.f.97 yeah, I was skeptical too. Some commercial tier gas stuff is still more powerful but for most homeowners with less than 5 acres, the ego stuff is awesome
Link in description!
Nice video!! How much was the transmission filters??
Thanks! I think fluid, filter and gasket was about $200
Is the accent color on your wheels gray or black?
Good question! The front are black, the rear are grey. I recently purchased the black set from a friend with the same truck, and just haven’t swapped the rears out for the black ones yet lol
@@alwaysandy1 Thank you, I like the black ones.
Umm so mine takes about 8 quarts. Nine go in at temp 170 ish the drain plug removal drops about 1quart back out.
Sounds good! honestly I never pulled that check check plug out from on the trans oil pan. I drove around for almost 8,000 miles like that. I just pulled it the other day and about a little over a quart came out, indicating mine was pretty overfull. but, haven't had any issues with it
Your dog and you are like 2 peees in a pod I’ll tell you what I love it next time stay longer we need more!
I love pods! And my dog! And you’re right, we need to go back soon! I’ll get plenty of footage of him!
Strong content, ready for more. ✴
Too Easy! Thanks for watching!
Location? Solo campaign is always better with a dog!
Agreed! My dog loves going out and, this is in West Texas
If summer could be snakes and scorpions if summer
There is absolutely snakes out here, and you’re right! I didn’t even think about scorpions
Is this in Australia
It’s in the US!
Woah that’s so crazy I was just looking at this place google maps are awesome stay safe brother
That IS crazy! Thanks man, and thanks for watching!
Good video! Looking forward to seeing more content like this!
Thanks for watching! More coming soon!
Does that year Alison not have a transmission dip stick?
Unfortunately not, I wish it did!
@alwaysandy1 Thanks, I'm trying to figure mine out. 2018 HD with Alison. But it seems there are different types. Mine has a 12 bolt pattern and a dip stick. It also has an external filter. Finding the right internal filter has been a challenge.
Do you need to replace the gasket or can you reuse the original one?
Good question! You can absolutely reuse the original one. It’s such a small amount of torque used on the pan bolts that the gasket doesn’t deform at all
That looks amazing😂
Thanks!
Nice haul
Appreciate it
It was a glitch, for a very short period of time, was corrected.
I see that!
I built my own as well for my Rzr pro r 4. It’s much more stout then what was commercially available. Luckily I have a skidsteer to load mine. Nice video.
That's sick! I agree, commercial ones seem kinda.. weak imo. I have an entire build series of making mine, that way others can have an idea of what all goes into it. i've got 5 or 6 videos on the channel already, figured it'd help someone else!
But there's no advertising for it?
Good question! Found the deal for this on the “Packout hangout and organization nation” Facebook page
@@alwaysandy1 Damn I might have to join Facebook Thanks
No homedepot in germany 😢
It was a glitch, for a very short period of time, was corrected.
Bravo 👏🏼
Thanks!
Take your truck to the scales with a full camper hooked up, the side by side loaded, and the family loaded. Interested to see the axle weights
That’s a really good idea! I absolutely will, I also want to see axle weights. I’m guessing total weight is around 20,000lbs
Well I gotta say it, you sir have a nice rack! Well done on the install.
Hahah! I appreciate that, and thanks for watching! This build series is just about complete!
this looks so fun
It really is!
That’s good hoss, reminds me of my paw he used to run crains down at the vfw
Sounds like he was a good man!
Watch for stretched pan bolts. About half of mine were stretched by the factory. I could feel the bolts trying to ring off well before 10 N-m...about half the required torque. I've seen these one-time use bolts before on my GMs. BTW, GM wants $7.25 per bolt.
Sheesh! Thats pricey!
@@alwaysandy1 Even the Chevy parts guy said that🤪
I drained all fluid and dropped pan. I added 10 qts to new pan. Started truck and ran temp up to 171F and then shut off. I removed 10mm drain plug and about 1.5 quarts drained out. According to GMC service bulletin I should have added 13 qts while the truck was running (enough to come out of fill plug) and then got truck up to temp. Then removed the drain plug and let it drain until it stopped.
Sounds like a better way to do it!
Yes, doing the drain plug after truck is up to temperature is correct way. This guy and many others are using the fill plug for the check plug and their transmissions now have too much fluid in them.
@@shanebrown2963 you're right, and i drove around like this for almost 8,000 miles. I tow very heavy as well with the truck, if you watch any of my other videos. i did just recently pull that plug out of the bottom of the drain pan, and a little over 1 quart came out. Seems fine so far
Can you do a follow up review to see how it’s holding up?
Yes! Of course! Subscribe and ring the bell to be notified!
LAZY
Agreed!
What year is the duramax…..I have seen Tran syn fluid in the past if this is a Allison
'22
GM doesn't currently use any Allison transmissions. This one included, it's Allison branded but a GM transmission.
That drain plug as you called it is the fill level when hot.
Thanks!
That’s awesome My cousin told me he wants to do the same
It's easy!
Great raptor paint job. How do you go about washing your SUV now since you have the raptor paint on it?
Good question! I just pressure wash it
What a shit job
This is a great video brother, keep up the strong work. I would only offer this. I just got done changing my tranny fluid recently. Per the GM ATF fluid change procedures your supposed to get the temperature of the transmission fluid between 167F - 176F. Idling the truck alone will not achieve this temp. In order to achieve these temperatures, you are supposed to, 1) with your foot on the brake and the gear lever switched to drive, press the gas pedal no more than 10 seconds on and 10 seconds off. Don't allow the RPM to get above 1500. Within 5-10 minutes you will achieve these temperatures. Once those temps have been achieved, put the vehicle in park, remove the transmission pan plug, not the fill plug and allow excess ATF fluid to drain. Once the stream of ATF fluid has stopped then you are at the correct fluid level. Outside of this, great HOW TO video!
Great instructions! Thank you very much!
Check the fluid level while truck is idling in park correct?
@@gregpierson8891yes after it is up to temperature
Thing looks like a giant roll of blue painters tape.
Lmao, your absolutely right
