In the 2 decades since that game came out, never in my life did I think I'd be saying this with any sort of sincerity - but please. Since ive seen this trailer, I have started replaying SA 2 and listening to Live and Learn on repeat.

I can only hope movie creators would write even at least a glimpse or similar emptional stuff. This already will be enough.

Me being a 19 year old, seeing this trailer makes me a sonic fan again, and I feel inspired to gather the courage to make fan art of this fr. And I am absolutely seeing this movie in the theater, for sure. Because seeing sonic movies (my favorite franchise of all times) brought my younger self back to life, and I am ALL here for it and I love it.

They need to put Shadow, Knuckles, and Tails in Super Smash. Shadow's ultimate>teleportation attack on every player on screen. Knuckles ultimate>screen sized fist going across the screen to punch everyone. Tails ultimate>something dealing with a 9 tailed fox.

I pretty much feel the same as you regarding Amy and Rouge. As in, I don’t think they’re in the movie, but I would be happy to see them in it.

I'm guessing they'll tease Rouge at the end of Sonic 3 to set the next movie up for Shadow joining Team Dark

I personally dont think Amy would fit in the movie. A lot of her more empathic qualities that make her work as a core member in the games have been moved to movie sonic to a degree. I would love to see her done well, but seeing how movie sonic is much more willing to talk to shadow than in SA2 i dont think she'd add much without it feeling overcrowded unfortunately. Personally, i want rouge more because i think she could fit into thr narrative of the movies in a more natural way, especially if there are Shadow centric projects following the movie. A shadow show where he meets and teams up with Rouge would be incredible

So the thing is, for those who haven’t played Sonic Adventure 2 (Dreamcast), FUCKING HELL all of that is just completely canon and accurate, and I just love it! “Team sonic”, the team up with Robotnik, chaos control (I hope we’ll hear Shadow say it…), even the first encounter in the city on the destroyed car is how SA2 starts (people thought it was Sonic so the beginning of the game is you running away from the cops, basically). The ARK lifting off the water. And Gerald Robotnik, grandfather of Eggman, Maria (the woman Shadow grew up with). Oh man. OHMAN!! They did an excellent job in the first two games in terms of lore, but here, it’s going to be a masterpiece.

I kinda get the feeling Amy will end up being the same deal as Tails was in the first movie. Post-credits candy for Sonic 4 I mean. You're totally right that Sonic has a TON of characters but if they're sensible about it (introduce them gradually like they have been doing/only use the ones people like etc) then they should be fine.

since they brought Eggman back for this movie, imagine if movie 4 is about Metal Sonic going rogue and going Neo Metal Sonic, repeating Sonic Heroes with all our heroes uniting, Shadow is awesome but Metal in live action would cream me

Take for instance, in sonic 06 they have a I basically have them kill off sonic and that’s one of the worst deaths in every game people probably never see for sonic but you are correct saying I would never treat shadow. I hope someday a better people will treat characters with respect. I’m happy that the current books are giving more of blaze and silver with some respect. I’m happy they deserve it and the writer who’s doing it is doing a very good damn job this person a lot of respect for giving more development for the characters.

Imagine if they make a Sonic 4 where the Sonic team has to fight Perfect Chaos, Jim Carry does love the sonic movies because of the fun he gets to have so he could return. I feel like the 4th movie could introduce Amy and Takal.

i think if they do make a 4th movie, they'll add at least one of the girls to it. that would almost force a tease of them at the end of sonic 3
