Thank you for sharing this! As a piano teacher with some limited experience in teaching students with special needs, I've found that rote learning, visual aids, and repetition are very effective. Have you ever worked with visually impaired students? Any tips for that? I'd love to interview you for my podcast, which focuses on music education, leadership, and the global impact of music. Could you share your contact information so I can reach out via email?
This is a great question. I have not personally worked with any visually impaired students, but I would imagine that most things that you can do visually, you can do with Braille/tactile representation too. I would recommend reaching out to a Braillist to see the best way to represent things such as a visual schedule to a visually impaired student. Collaborating with the other parts of a student's support network is so important. If you would like more information, you can contact me at admin@sunshineandmusicblog.com.

Thanks so much for introducing me to this song. It works a treat with my students. I put simple actions for playing woodwinds, bowing strings, hit, shake, scrape and then I dip low when we buzz lips! They remembered after 1 week.
