Good video but you made an error on Mc Ehit Albums discography. Section 8 was not his 2nd solo album, Death Threats was. Section 8 was his 4th solo album but first album when he signed to Hoo Banging Records. In My Neighborhood was Mc Eiht 5th album but 2nd album on Hoo Banging Record, not his third.
Off Parole was my favorite Rappin’ 4 Tay
I Remember Reading In 94 The Source Magazine And They Gave Scarface’s The Diary 5 Mics And Named It A Hip Hop Classic I Bought It Back In The Day I Signed The Magazine To Buy The Album On CD

Why doesn’t anyone ever mention Green Eyes from Lincoln.
Both classic killa cali on celly cel. But heat fo yo ass was the beginning so both i say... anything after that couldin think so dat was a good one dawg..
Fun fact: the hook on Piru love was sang by a Kelly park Crip.
Other albums not mentioned Tweedy Bird Loc "187 Ride By" & "No Holds Barred", Nini X "She's Dangerous", Fo' Clips "Just Be Thankful". Released late 1999 there was a 2-Disc compilation called The Best Of Ronnie Ron's Gangsta-Lation Album, the tracks on Disc 1 are previously unreleased and this was the very last album under Dangerous Records ending the 90s era.
this showed up on my suggested videos and judging from the title, I couldn’t click fast enough! great stuff man, Im 46 and I worked at Durant Square in East Oakland when I was a teenager just a few stores down from Homeboyz Music… the store that produced Bay Area Playaz 1 and 2
Appreciate that 💯

For the confusion on the Game Recognize Game’s release year, JT’s album Playaz N the Game was released in 93’ (I think). That version of Game Recognize Game has one verse from JT and one verse from Mac Mall. The remix of Game Recognize Game is the one with the music video and that was on the radio. That has 3 verses from JT. Mac Mall is only on the chorus in that version. This version is on the GLP album ‘Straight out the Labb’, which came out in 94’. Some of the years shown on Google and wiki are questionable. Wiki has 11/5’s Fiendin 4 the Funk’s released date as March 31, 1995, but I’m sure it was out in late 94’. Quinn’s Live-N-Direct and Cellski’s Mr. predictor were also either very late 94’ or very early 95’, but the dates shown online vary a lot.
Master p even came here and learned how to hustle
I know the lyrics to the banging on wax 1 on both sides. Even the intro. “I bet you I can rap on your colonel sanders short ass fraud.” Classic The rough rugged red Rambo, lettin lead fly. 50 percent black but 100 percent nig,a
I figured it out once I found out he was from INGLEWOOD Lol💯💯💯

Safe n Sound is my favorite And my Uncle put me on DJ Quik on Quiks the name I was 8yrs old lol!
All the tracks on Down and Dirty are fire except maybe D Shots Street Life. I believe it was removed when they signed to Jive. Id say it wasn’t worth remixing because of samples like other tracks were. Also the original tape had Lets Side on it.
Still Ain’t Leanred on RBL was the hottest track
so I was working at the snack bar in Durant Square when I heard my homeboy’s beat shop knocking Pimp of the Year. I went over and asked him the song details. “It’s Dru Down. It just came out. I just bought it now from Lance (owner of Homeboyz Music next to his shop).” I bought the tape and I kid you not, like before i could put the tape in my pocket, I see the dude on the album cover w/the braids behind dru down and he’s like 20 yards away from me! I walked up to him and said “hey excuse me is this you?” He laughed and said no but his friend signaled to me that it WAS him. Crazy ass story.

Game Recognize Game was also on the GLP album but which album came out first? I always assumed GLP came out first
Banging on wax is all time classic record . It’s good from start to finish
