You are definitely upstream, which imo is the biggest determinant. He might try and say he was inside; and if he was a prone surfer maybe he could make a case? Not a foiler though. He should be upstream of you. Foilers sure are faster and more dangerous. They are like grizzly bears, they need territory to roam
Be careful! It's addictive! I now have 6 wings, 3 boards, 2 foils, and multiples of wetsuits and accessories. Start shopping for a big board , big foil, big wing now for decent deals. For me, big gear was the key to a shorter beginner phase.
@@aniva7965 That's smart! Focus on getting the skills, not the gear. Once you've got consistent extended flights longer than a minute or you've got your jibes over 50% - time to go shopping! You'll have the knowledge to make the right gear decisions for yourself and not just follow trends. Good luck!
Hey, very interesting stuff here. But did you give Baker Henistole's stuff a chance? The routine that's recommended there can get you a chiseled, flat chest in weeks, as long as you do one simple thing every day. Go’ogle it, btw, it’s NOT 100-‘s of pushups per day, no worries lol
What was the windspeed? From the sustained pumping, I gather it wasn't that much, but difficult to say. A lot of work on the arms and shoulders, I guess. Franco
Hi! 10-15 knots that day. Not really excessive pumping or I would have stopped the session. I pump poorly and I'm lazy. If I was pumping, I likely hit a wind hole or I'm trying to go hard upwind. I don't like getting taken downwind and end up having to walk back.
@@Highrocker1298 Thanks for your feedback. II am impressed at how well you manage to sail on the wing in those low winds, because I keep reading that winging without a foil it is much worse than windsurfing and forget about it. May be the bad rating is because people are sold to wing foiling and think there is no life without planing and speed. A bit like comparing a bicycle to a motorbike…If I can get moving as you do, I’ll be more than happy… I think the biggest problem is balance because you don’t have the support of the rig. I didn’t try my wing yet here in Montreal. Perhaps in a month or so because it still too cold here. I’ll post my comments on the Forum. Ittiandro
@@ittiandrovivona3184 Thanks! I'm still very deep in the learning phase in wingfoiling. There is a popularity tendency towards wingfoiling rather than SUP winging. It all depends on what makes you happy. I have friends who are quite happy to just stay with SUP winging. I also SUP surf and I find that wingfoiling feels very similar to surfing an endless wave as long as the wind is there and there is sea room. It is an hour to our nearest surfing location in contrast to 10 minutes to the nearest wingfoiling locations. Between the endless surfing and reduced gas burned up, wingfoiling has become my preferred water sport. Best of luck, sir and I hope it warms up for you soon!
Ahhhh!! The ever so beautiful rappelling rock face @03:41 and the main source of my fear induced adrenaline for few days. lol Funny how the beauty of our place is taken for granted if you're on the ground. Fly up high and you see these beautiful coastline.
Aerial view of just about anything gives me that sense of calm, tranquility, serenity, or whatever you call it. Nice view. Nice video. Esquimalt looks small. haha.
True that there is a sense of serenity with taking in the view from a higher and different perspective. Esquimalt is a small place populated by small people.
thanks for posting, does your friend like his swift 2024 board? which size dd he get?
Seems happy, but still in the getting used to the board stage. I think it's the 6'9" Swift. Thanks!
@@Highrocker1298 thanks!
Nice Ang,you're living the dream!

That was a superb session. Warm and sunny were a nice bonus.
nice video 🙌🏾 out having fun ...from The Solent 🏴
nice - always turning
Haha. Loved this! Too bad I couldn’t be there with all you maniacs!
Next time! Heal up, big man!
That was the log strike! You can hear the thump of mast on wood. I am a bit of a big deal when it comes to crashing!
Awesome Ang. I love the wipeout at 36 seconds where you just get blown out of frame. 😂
Very cool.
that was a big f ing log!
It felt big!
Ha! I edited out all the struggles.
looks like you're killing it.
That’s an awesome vibe. 👍
It was pretty wonderful!
Looks like you got the best of it! And it looks like you’re miles from shore. 😬
It was unusually good at Pat Bay!
hey, why you neve flag out wing and just surf on foil?
Thanks! Still working on those skills. Apparently my big 2050 sqcm Axis foil is too slow for swell riding. Someday....
@@Highrocker1298 thanks, I plan to start winging next season

Thanks Ang! I was watching jealously from the cam. Now I'm on board!
That’s fantastic. I love the progression from the beginning. 😂
Glad you liked it!
😅 love it
My specialty genre!
This is the video I was waiting for !
A swell day with the South Island crew. Thank you for capturing!
Very good video, it shows great speed. You placed the fin behind the board, about halfway.
Thanks. Foil mast positioning is roughly at the midpoint of the tracks.
Thanks man. I just finished my own foil session and was able to get some Lance footage.
Great video Ang!

Hi Man, what is exact board you ride?
You're a busy man!
It's a good kind of busy!

Board Beast Bren!
Lookin' good, HR!! What board and how are you mounting the SUP paddle??
thanks, sir! Still lots to learn! Here's details. ruclips.net/video/kHVWdtakyXw/видео.html

So true! The crack cocaine of board sports. Thanks for the attention!

Ooooops. It wasn't really that wonder full.
Thank you kuya Angelico
Smooth moves!
Damage control demands unconventional movement.....
I wanna do it again! 🤣😁
Fifteen seconds! Nicely done. If only you stuck the landing... lol.
Thanks. Progression. Slowly.......
Great day on the water, Summer's back on Vancouver Island!

How did it feel when you weren't slipping turns?
Fast! At first I had to keep bleed off some speed, I wasn't used to the speed. I'll keep trying for sure!
Nice job! Glad to see you're trying. The guy ahead of you was laying out some nice carves at the end.
Yup my friend, Greg, seems to know his stuff. It was good to have someone to try and copy.
