Improved Virtual Disk drive Sector writing brings the boot time down to 43 Secs with the overhead of updating the Virtual LEDs on execution of every CPU Instruction ! Leveraged github.com/companje/Altair880... in the design. Quick with No LEDs :- ruclips.net/user/shorts6CXQkFw3D7Y
M5 Cardputer - Altair 8800 - Booting up into CP/M 2.2

M5 Cardputer Altair 8800 booting up into CP/M 2.2 using the original Boot Disk Loader pre-loaded into memory. I automatically "Examine" 177400 but I could have used the switches to enter the address before pressing Run. An SD card is used to store 330K .dsk images and in this case cpm63K.dsk was partially loaded into memory from the disk. Painfully slow ... but it works and is quite usable for ...

Please lose the bg music
Amazing! I too am thinking about buying the M5Stack Cardputer or ELLO 2M.
can you share
cardputer
could you share the code please
please
Still improving the Design at the moment so not quite ready to share !
ok
What is going on here. ?
ruclips.net/video/ZKeiQ8e18QY/видео.html Does this help ?
@@iainrachno it doesn't help, video is unavailable
Cool
This is a great idea! I am going to put it on the fridge!
????
Hey Iain, it's Liam! I've recently gone back to school for Computer Science and Engineering. I just finished up an Electrical Engineering class and was reminded of these videos. I've a got Raspberry Pi and a breadboard on my desk these days, I'm learning the ropes on my own when I have time! Hope the family is doing well! ~Love, Liam
Raspberry pi controlled I assume?
WLED on an ESP32.
Wow my dad had like a dozen of these x10 devices all around the house. He would get an absolute kick out of this.
Actually when you have 3 jam packed Wifi Routers, the X10 technology is quite robust and doesn't use up any router bandwidth. And it was fun to try to make it work !!
I was able to get there bullseye build running, but after some more research I think I think i just might need a esp8266 or 32. What was your experience like controlling leds with a SOC, like a pi or potato, vs a microcontroller?
Is Wifi adapter working?
Using the latest build of Raspbian, I am using the D-Link DWA-181 AC1300 wifi adapter. Latest ubuntu for the S905X wouldn't work. For all GPIO work in DOTNET I had to use the gpioset and gpioget bash calls. I imagine python is doing the same thing with the controller / offset this board uses.
Such a good boy!💜
very cute dog. looks exactly like mine
Can u share code? Thanks
So cool! I love it!💜
If only that table was the limit !!!
1 screen is enough
that is a horrendous setup
Yes
I've got a pup that looks just like this one. She's a Maltese andvTerrier. I got a DNA test from Embark, but it hasn't come back yet.
Very impressive for an rp2040!! Nice!
## Quick Start Lilygo T5 4.7 - Install the [Arduino IDE](www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software). Note: Later instructions may not work if you use Arduino via Flatpak. - Install the latest [espressif/arduino-esp32](github.com/espressif/arduino-esp32) package in the IDE, version >= 1.05 I used the latest Espressif ESP32 version from the Beta version link for the Lilygo T5 4.7 which I believe was 2.3 while the up to date stable version 1.6 did not work for me !!!!!!!!! raw.githubusercontent.com/espressif/arduino-esp32/gh-pages/package_esp32_dev_index.json - Download a zipfile from github using the "Download ZIP" button and install it using the IDE ("Sketch" -> "Include Library" -> "Add .ZIP Library...", OR: - Clone this git repository into your sketchbook/libraries folder. For more info, see www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Libraries - Choose `ESP32 Dev Module` for the board - Tools -> PSRAM -> `Enable` - ("File" -> "Examples" -> "LilyGoEPD47" -> "demo") in the Arduino IDE - Select the correct port and click upload - Please refer to [Script Instructions](./scripts/README.MD) for picture and text generation
Creating Symmetry - Frank Farris is the inspiration!

Haha
that's amazin
The Glockenspiel can also be played using the old Guitar Hero interface with 4 of the Keys used to generate a binary pattern which plays one of the notes when the strum is hit. I took the Guitar Hero apart and wired a multicore cable which connects the individual buttons directly to the inputs on the Arduino.
This is cool! How did you do it
This instruction shows how to drive the shift registers and each shift register drives 2 notes. www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/Foundations/ShiftOut The Arduino uses 3 wires to drive 8 shift registers which actuate 16 Stepper Motors via ULN2003 drivers. 42bots.com/tutorials/28byj-48-stepper-motor-with-uln2003-driver-and-arduino-uno/ However it would have been much easier to use a solenoid system to hit the notes but I wanted to try to incorporate the Cam Hammers for visual effect. The 28BYJ-48 used for this project is quite special as it uses a 16:1 gearbox and not the regular 64:1 gearbox due to speed requirements. That said one of the Cam Hammers does incorporate a 1:4 step up 3D printed gearbox and a regular motor - just for the 'fun' of it.
