Can you let us the boba skincare formulation ?
To make a cold process emulsion with sucragel cf, do I incorporate Xanthan Gum and Glycerin as well into the formula?
Yes in order to make a stable emulsion with Sucragel you need to incorporate a suitable stabiliser. Sclerothix is the lab's go to, but xanthan gum would work well to. Glycerine can be used to premix the stabiliser to help reduce clumping in the aqueous phase but isn’t essential to the formulation.
Thank you What ingredients can be used or integrated in an oleogel formula Thank you
Hi @nourashaheen487, head over to our website to see some example formulations using HIPEgel Oleo and the ingredients that can be used: www.alchemy-ingredients.com/ingredients/hipegel-oleo-c
Is this ingredient also available in India… if yes kindly share your distributor in India Thankyou

Looks amazing 👏
Hello, for the larger batches like 1000g, would you use a bigger propeller, or is this one in the video suitable? Thank you.
Hi, this propeller size is fine to use for a 1kg batch.
what is the difference between sapogel Q ? Can you have distributor in paris ? Thank you 😊
All our distributors can be found on our website here: www.alchemy-ingredients.com/distributors
What percentage of Clearthix did you use for the emulsion?
Clearthix S was used at 0.5% in this formulation.
How is this commercially viable if an ingredient requires a pipette to formulate
Hi, is Clearthix S a 100% natural origine ingredient ? thanks
Hi, the natural origin index for Clearthix S is 0.739
@@AlchemyIngredients so it not all natural? What does 0.739 represent?
Yes, you can use Clearthix S up to 3%, however the clarity can be slightly affected when used above 2%.
Ok. Thank you so much
Do you have thoughts on the flakes at 2.5%?
Using Clearthix S above 2% can result in a slight hazy appearance, if clarity is essential, we recommend using a maximum of 2% Clearthix S. Adding a small amount of Hydratagel G (1-5%) can be a good way of increasing the viscosity of the system without impacting clarity. @@cuttinup97
@@AlchemyIngredients What of the flakes at 2%. Making a hair gel and using this instead of carbomer.
Send a picture to technical@alchemy-ingredients.com so we can see what you mean. It's not an issue we've encountered before.@@cuttinup97
Can this be used effectively at a higher percentage for a thicker gel?
Can this be used in a pre-shampoo oil treatment for hair? If so, what's the suggested usage rate?
Micromulse LB would be perfect for this application. For a similar formulation we suggest looking at the Miracle Hair Oil as this can be easily adapted to create a pre-shampoo treatment rather than a post-shampoo treatment. www.alchemy-ingredients.com/formulations/miracle-hair-oil We would recommend using Micromulse LB at between 15-20%. Typically we use Micromulse LB at 17.5%, and then adjust the levels of glycerine and water used depending on the oil phase to keep transparency.
Hello please you have training program ?
can this be scaled to 1-2kg batches?
Yes, this can be scaled up to larger batch sizes, if you require any additional information about the scale up process, please contact us via our website: www.alchemy-ingredients.com/
Can we use an emulsion blender or electric whisk

Hi there, is the water also introduced to the sapogel drop by drop. Could you please make a tutorial with both a runnier version of the sapogel and sucragel because when it is more liquid it is better suited for formulation of a shimmer oil gel
Sapogel is best suited for creating rich balms. Instead check out our shimmering body oil formulation on our website at www.alchemy-ingredients.com/formulations/shimmering-body-oil. It is made with HIPEgel Oleo C which is ideal for gel-to-oil textures. Hope that helps.
Excellent
Excellent
Hi team, loved the video. Can I ask why you added extra glycerine to the formula? Doesn't micromulse lb contain glycerine. Also if I wanted a more of a runnier consistency, how would I go about doing this?
The extra glycerine is required to create a fluid transparent system. Your choice of oil will determine how fluid your system is as you need to adjust the levels of water and glycerine to match the refractive index of the oil phase. Esters tend to have a lower refractive index than vegetable oils so require a small amount of water to achieve transparency, this helps to create a more fluid texture. We suggest checking out our Micellar Cleansing Oil formulation if you require a thinner system: www.alchemy-ingredients.com/formulations/micellar-cleansing-oil
Is this the same consistency as a lip gloss ? Can we use this to create lip glosses and is this a vegan and naturally derived ingredient? ( sapogel Q )
Hi there. Sapogel Q is for rich balm textures, it would be better suited for a lip balm or lip mask. HIPEgel Oleo C would be better suited for a lip gloss application, its our go to system to create gel-to-oil textures. Check out the blueberry lip gloss formulation on our website for some inspiration and for more information on our products: www.alchemy-ingredients.com/

Love your ingredients, they are however extremely difficult to find. I mean for small artisan formulators. ❤
We’re glad that our videos and formulations are providing inspiration to smaller, artisan formulators like yourselves. However, as a global provider of naturally-derived ingredients for the cosmetics industry, we use a worldwide network of distributors who sell our products at scale. This means that we are unable to fulfil orders of small quantities directly I'm afraid.
Hi, Does it turn cloudy like most solubilizers if the the ration is not correct. Secondly, is it good for sensitive skin?
Hi there. To answer your questions, yes the system will be hazy if the level of Microsol Natural isn’t sufficient to solubilise the fragrance/essential oil used. Regarding sensitive skin, we specifically chose this blend of surfactants as they are known to be mild on the skin, however we are awaiting results for skin irritation. Hope that helps?
اريد اريد شرح بالعربي من فضلكم 🙏👍
Which one is the preservative?
Apologies for the delayed response to your question. There is no preservative in this formulation, due to the low water content in this system the chance of microbial contamination is low. However if you wish to add a preservative to the system you can. Hope that helps.

Hi. I liked your video. Wat is a solution if v don't have Overhead Mixer?
You could attempt to make the balm with a hand mixer or a stand mixer, but not a stick blender as they are better suited for high shear mixing. However you are not guaranteed to make a stable balm without the correct lab equipment and we don't recommend this method for our products.

Hi we can use sucragel instead of sapogel...
Hi there. You could attempt to replace the Sapogel® with Sucragel®. However you may find it difficult to match the appearance and texture of the balm. The system with Sucragel® might be too fluid, so you might need to adjust the water and glycerine levels to achieve your desired texture...
Can we make a bath bar with this

Who is the distributor in Southern California? Also, can the gel cream be made with COLD water? We are most interested in completely cold process emulsions. Thank you.
Hi Susan. Our list of distributors can be found on our website here: alchemy-ingredients.com/distributors With regards to your question about gel creams, I assume that this is in relation to our new product, Instathix® which is our new oil-in-gel emulsion system, suitable for hot processes only. To create a completely cold process emulsion you first need to make an oily gel with Sucragel XL using the oil phase required in the emulsion. You then need to prepare the external (diluting) phase, consisting of water plus a stabiliser of your choice, I suggest using Sucrathix VX this is a stabiliser that can be dispersed hot or cold. Combine the two phases and homogenise. Check out at our Anti-Ageing Rejuvenating Serum for an example formulation: alchemy-ingredients.com/formulations/anti-ageing-rejuvenating-serum
Omya distribute our products in the USA; contact details are on our website. Instathix is our new oil-in-gel emulsion system, suitable for hot processes only. To create a completely cold process emulsion you first need to make an oily gel with Sucragel XL using the oil phase required in the emulsion. You then need to prepare the external (diluting) phase, consisting of water plus a stabiliser of your choice, we suggest using Sucrathix VX - this is a stabiliser that can be dispersed hot or cold. Is there any alternative of HIPEgel ?!
We have a range of oil gelling agents in our portfolio suitable for a range of different applications. HIPEgel® Oleo is for high internal phase o/w emulsions (typically 80-90% internal oil phase), with a quick break gel-to-oil texture. Alternatively you could use Sucragel® to form a concentrated o/w emulsion with a gel-to-milk texture or Sapogel® Q to form a balm texture. Take a look at our website to find out more: alchemy-ingredients.com/
Hello! I am trying yo make an oil gel like the vaseline intensive care cocoa oil gel. What is the functional difference between sucra gel and hydrogenated styrene copolymeres?
Hydrogenated styrene copolymers are synthetic polymers used to thicken oil by creating a gel network. Sucragel® is a natural product which thickens oil by creating a concentrated o/w emulsion. Hope that helps?!

I have been searching for this. I need a more liquidy consistency, almost like a liquid oil but a little gelly. How should Ii adjust this?
You can adjust the levels of water and glycerine to achieve your desired texture. However we don’t recommend going above 10% glycerine or 5% water as this can impact the stability of the product. Hope this helps.
