Mine was always Blockbuster video
I think he was hired as a philosophy professor.
I must have it bad. It can happen to me in bookstores, especially second hand bookstores but also stores selling new books. I also experience it in libraries, newsagents, even when I open an old book. I thought I was the only one for such a long time. but then I found that my twin sister also experiences it. In stores with recycled books, the urge to defecate is so strong that I have to rush to the toilet or if I plan my trip, I visit the toilet before entering the bookstore. That helps. Sometimes the urge leaves when I leave the bookstore (to search for a toilet). I believe I am triggered by the smell of books, especially musty old books.
This video was FANTASTIC! You are very funny and personable and I am very grateful to you for making this material easier to understand. I hope I can use you more, Heidi! ;-)
Great video and deserves a lot more views/likes. Very informative and concise!
I'm sitting here at the NGC working at the funeral of the curator who procured it watching your video and I have to say your video helped appreciate the painting more than anything since I first saw it in 2000. Thank you.
Hell yeah that's an explanation

Thank you for this! I'm pursuing a degree in Sociology and this video helps solidify key concepts as there are a lot when first being introduced to the field~~ I also adore your personality, subscribed!
I always found social psychology a bit awkward. It's nice to watch these concise youtube vids on it, instead of 500 pages texts
For me , it is real , too. I thought this was due to the great silence there is in book store . If I come in in a bookstore , that there is a wide space , just a few peoples around , I suddenly hear my guts and get conscious about it .When a place is "too quiet " ,my bowels are upset . Note : Impressionnist music like Ravel or Debussy , for orchestra - but not the Bolero- give me the same sensation . In conclusion, I would say that my unconscious associate absence of noise with bathroom and bathroom needs. ( An empty room in a museum would give me the same feeling .)
I was in Ottawa and visit the Museum and saw an look at Voice of Fire . To me , what strike me was the violence of the red color coming downward in front of me . I was so impressed i had to step back a bit . To me , again , I ses symbollism in that piece of art . It shows me how awful was the German Nazi regime from 1933 to 1945. In front of a piece of art , one must be connected to his guts and feel the esthetic emotion that the piece of art gives you dow there in your guts . You don't look at an art piece with your logical mind . Many peoples , I suspect , never felt a single esthetic emotion of their life and they think they can critic . Thanks for your video . Useful. Note : If possible , another time , explains us all the steps the artist went through in the making of the final result. Thanks .
The MoMA wishes they had this one...can't wait to get back there this summer for the General Idea exhibit (and sit in front of Voice of Fire for a small eternity of course).
This is fantastic. The way you portray this information kept me really engaged. I'm doing an assignment on symbolic interactions and watching some videos to brush back up on it. This was perfect. I wish you went more deeply into his theory and the students that published his works. But this was definitely the perfect refresher course. Thank you!
Conflict theory is still superior as it can explain societal changes and individuals' relationship to collective society
Absolutely loved this - thank you!
fascinating!
YOU ARE COMMITTING A INTWERNATIONAL FEDERAL CONTINENTAL HATE CRIMES AGAINST THE BEOTHUK FIRST NATION THAT ARE CURRENTLY INTERNATIONAL FEDERAL RECOGNIZED FED FILED. IT MEANS YOU ARE LOOKING AT A LAWSUIT. YOU ARE PROMOTONG A HATE CRIMES AGAINST THE INTERNATIONAL FEDERAL FILED BEOTHUK FIRST NATION WHO ARE ALIVE.
They didnt become extinct according to the Canadian history books...they still around and this people mixed Inuits and Mikmaq people
BEOTHUK FIRST NATION IS INTERNATIONAL FEDERAL FILED AND ARE A ETHNIC GROUP OF THEIR OWN . THIS VIDEO IS A INTERNATIONAL FEDERRLA HATE CRIME PROMOTING ETHNOGENOCIDE AND RACISM AND IS A LAW SUIT. NO FORCED ASSIMILATION/ETHNOGENCIDE.
We didn't ...we just kinda blend right in 🍀
Your information is outdated. Beothuk and Mi'kmaq were migratory peoples. There were also 5 Colonial Mi'kmaq reservations in NL established in the 1870's. The Beothuk may be culturally extinct, but they are mixed with other people's today.
BEOTHUK FIRST NATION ARE NOT CULTURALLY EXTINXT AND ARE INTERNATIONAL FEDERAL FILED CURRENTLY. STOP COMMITTING HATE RACIST HATE CRIMES
Thank you!!!!❤
With me, it’s the act of searching for a long time. It would happen to me also at video stores like Blockbuster or record/DVD stores, back when those were things. I also go geocaching in which you search for containers hidden in the woods using a GPS. If I spend a good amount of time searching without any luck, the feeling comes then too. But once I stop and continue on my hike, it goes away. Spooky 👻
Yeah! I also noticed that when I do certain things this may happen to me after a long period of time. Thanks for your comment!
The lecture was great. Although the music was good it distracted me a bit. Maybe consider losing the music? Loved the lecture itself though

Omg yay!!!
Thank you. Liked the overall presentation and meanings too cool!!
Thank you for taking the time to watch our video! We hope to make more for you soon!
This is so interesting because it also explains some cultural differences as everyone's generalized other is based on their specific location and proximity and i wonder how the trend to globalization is affecting subjective realities and generalized others.
I think that this is great, because it's important to have a global understanding of 'others' and how they can manifest in different cultures, which ultimately leads to a higher understanding of the self.
lil Georgie <3
Joke's on the NGC. They hung it upside down.
Haha! Oh yeah, I do remember reading about that. Kind of hard to tell though!
That’s funny
Yes I agree worst Canadians ever!!!
I love your commentary "oh no, bitch, I'm the MF'n pumpkin king". This was a really fun and interesting video!
I love this episode!
I love this.
This is fantastic. I love it. Everything I didn't know I that I wanted to know! Xo
I liked this more than I think I should have 😅
When I read Steven Pinker's book called "The Language Instinct" it makes me wonder if he really hates Sapir Whorf, considering some of the book tends to toe the line, but it's interesting to hear you discuss it all in an easy to understand way! More linguistics videos, please!
Thank you! We are interested in doing a lot of different topics, but linguistics is definitely something I love to talk about so I will keep that in mind. I never read all of Pinker's works, but he's definitely a big name in the field. I find that he isn't very open with exploring different points of view though and seems a bit stubborn
This was super interesting. Thanks for this story!
No problem! Thanks for watching!
i love ur Tshirts.
