Welcome to our channel, Whitfield Life. We are Kyle and Charlotte Whitfield, a family from Thirsk, North Yorkshire!! We want to create a safe space where we can share our family life and adventures, which we hope you can relate to and enjoy watching. We try not to take life too seriously and aim to bring a smile, maybe even a laugh or two! We met when we were 17 years old and got married at 22 years old (young we know ;)). We have a 2 year old daughter called Sophie and 2 cockapoos Alfie (6 years old) and Maisie (3 years old). Come with us on this journey, we can’t wait to connect with like minded people!
We bought a secondhand caravan! | Elddis Xplore 304
We did it… We bought our first caravan!
After a lot of online browsing we are picking up our caravan, an Elddis Xplore 304. We wanted something lightweight and easy to tow, whilst being a 4 berth and we found it!
This video we talk through our process of coming to the decision to buy a caravan and also picking her up. Yes we have decided to name her…meet Van-essa!!

Congrats! I bought an Elddis Vogue SE 1997, 2 weeks ago for under £1400 on Ebay. I was also contemplating a campervan, but I am glad I went for the caravan. I have given it a deep clean and already made the cushion and seat coverings and curtains. Also did a towing course and registered it. I'm looking forward to many adventures with my 7 yo son. I am sooooo excited 😊. Good luck 👍

I think you made the correct choice by choosing a caravan over Motorhome. I home you love it and let’s hope for better weather too I hope you many great holidays in it.

That storage yard is cheap! £6 a week, wow. Down south ours was around £600 pa. One downside to storage yards as opposed to having caravan on your drive it's more of a faff going away, having to pack at home then repack caravan at storage yard. In the end we gave up caravaning, too much faff going away etc, but kids loved it when younger. Bit out of the loop now, but if you join one of the main clubs they have access to hundreds of Cs and Cl's, basically people who have room for 5 vans on their fields at cheap prices. Excellent video…I have had both campervans and a caravan and for me it has to be the caravan..purely for space and comfort…the price for storage is excellent…

Does it have a motor mover fitted?
No it doesn't unfortunately, but it is very light so not had any issues manoeuvring. The motor movers do look fantastic though, may have to look into it at some point.
oh the memories you are going to make. I have really fond memories of my childhood caravanning - dad preferred it to anything. Subbed. We daily vlog too, and having all these memories to look back on is priceless.

Do you think a Dacia duster would be able to tow one of these??? Couldn't quite make out the car you were using!!! I too are like you toying with the same idea but a caravan is so much cheaper 👍
Hello, thank you for watching our video and leaving a comment! It would depend on the towing capacity of the Dacia Duster. We have a 2016 1.6 diesel Vauxhall Astra and it towes it with ease. If you look up your car model towing capacity on Google, it should tell you the max weight you can tow. Our Elddis Xplore 304 is 1050kg fully laden (with everything in). Hope that helps!
You might regret not having a motor mover ? Make sure if not using the van for a few weeks remove the battery and take home to charge properly ..

Hello! Thank you so much, that is very kind 🥰 Absolutely recommend the hotel for little ones, the staff were incredible and they have their own kids club which has a park and loads of activities on throughout they day (like the face painting) impossible to get bored 😂 The hotel is all inclusive and the quality of the food was amazing. Always so much choice too including it's own patisserie. Hope that helps. Thank you for watching, it really does mean a lot to us x
