    Can you please explain how @4:45 you got DL and DB roots? I thought it would be the opposite since the distal root that was in the original image also moved distally (opposite of the PID, just like the MB root). Thus, it should also be DB?

    Hi, I had 2 CBCTs done since mid-February and now my other dentist wants a 3rd one. Is it okay to get a 3rd one in like two months?

    • @dentoradiology3212
      @dentoradiology3212 3 месяца назад

      Hi there. Great question. Some CBCT scans are with small field of view (FOV) so the radiation dose is much less. We have FOV with only one single tooth, also FOV with the whole skull. The same CBCT can be used if it contains the information that we need, if not another CBCT must be taken. You can ask your dentist to check your radiography documents.

    Tnx, it was really good. Can I ask a question? How we can reduce the ghost artifact of the opposite site of the mandible?is it possible to reduce the ghost image by changing the canine laser? I mean, sometimes there are too many ghost artifact of both mandible at the both sides.

    • @dentoradiology3212
      @dentoradiology3212 3 месяца назад

      Hi there. Thanks for watching. Well it can be reduced, but we always have the ghost imaged even if it's not seen clearly. If the patient is positioned in the right focal trough and not too far ( towards the tube ) or we can say the canine laser should not be set too far ahead. In Addition, the less head rotation the less mandibular ramus ghost. May be this video might help you. ruclips.net/video/a5UDsOUiqik/видео.htmlsi=FrX42a5ubAZbzIbE The last section of the video.

    What happens in sinus discharge clinically?

    • @dentoradiology3212
      @dentoradiology3212 4 месяца назад

      The drainage of all paranasal sinuses is inside the nasal cavity. So when you blow your nose the mucosa comes out.🙂 If there is an obstruction of the sinus ostium, we can have some drainage but most of the mucosa is trapped inside the sinus causing pain, infection, and swelling.

    I'm supposed to have 2 teeth pulled next week. Top far back left. I was told the X-Ray showed they are inside the sinus cavity and that the Dr will attempt to close the hole between the sinus and mouth... I'm VERY nervous. What happens if he can't close it?

    • @LobotomizedTeddyBear
      @LobotomizedTeddyBear 6 месяцев назад

      Same but I have 2 upper wisdom teeth in there. They told me it could happen to have water come out my nose when I drink and they'll place me under antibiotics. I'm also lucky that my bottom wisdom teeth are deep inside the bone and my mental nerve might lose sensation for a few days to weeks🎉😢

    • @LobotomizedTeddyBear
      @LobotomizedTeddyBear 6 месяцев назад

      I would think it's easy to close, they just told me because both my teeth were in there so it's in case there's a leak while healing... I'm someone who only enjoys flat water naturally, so it wouldn't be a problem to just drink that, and they'll always suture, your body will finish the closing... Don't worry, if it's possible take it when you're awake so they can make you blow air into the holes to be sure the suture is tight

      Sorry for the delay response. I was so sick. The swelling after rhinoplasty for even one year is normal but not as much as the first month. The following sentence you had asked, -focal areas of mucosal thickening in few ethmoid air cells and nasal cavities: It means inflammation in the mucosal membrane of the ethmoid( is one of the paranasal sinuses)air cells. This is okay, nothing to be worried about. -left concha bullosa : It is the aeration of one of the middle turbinate's in the nasal cavity, and it is an anatomic variation. We report it as if in some cases it can cause obstruction, if it is very enlarged.

      Hi there, sorry for the delay response. Mostly the impacted palatal canine is near the nasal floor, but if it is near the maxillary sinus floor YES, it may cause the opening of the maxillary sinus. The surgeon is aware of this condition and if the perforation occurs they will close the opening in the same time. Plz take an CBCT scan before any operation.

I have heard about something called the "Diaphragmatic hernia". You can check it in the internet. These patients have gag reflex after eating or drinking to much, or if the sleep immediately after there meal. I suggest to STOP eating or drinking before you feel completely full, and plz don't ley down minimum 30 minutes after each meal. You can give it a try!

      When brushing the back teeth, change the direction you brush. Very gently brush your teeth up and down or in circles, and NOT back and forth. For the tongue, brush horizontally to the tongue, and no need to bring your tongue out. Hope this helps. Glad to hear if there is any improvement so on.

    The only way is to buy a cheap £1 boxing gum shield,start about 10 days before appointment,at least twice a day put it in until you gag then leave it in for 2 seconds.alternate top and bottom ,each time your seconds will extend a bit .you wont be sick but if you fear this, do on empty stomach ,eventually you will have to manipulate the shield to force a gag reflex. although you must keep it up till your visit .but next time a 6 day start will work.i went through agony and gas treatment ,as i was hyper sensitive and could only brush at night and dental visits were rare, then i thought of this and wondered what all the fuss was about ,i recently had 7 ,two hour procedures including impressions ...if had known this in my youth none of it would have been necessary...
