I know it’s a bit late, but every time I come back to this I can’t help but feel a powerful sense of soothing nostalgia. what tender and sweet moments we all were able to have together in this piece. I miss it so much, and I know one day I’m going to miss you all too. Amid our vast breaks from school, I miss everything from my orchestra family to the beautiful music we were all able to sing together with our vast array of instruments… I love you guys all so much, and I am so happy that God made this possible. One day, I’ll be sitting on the porch of my very own home, having lived many of my years, happily remembering what we all had done together. ❤

i played this at OMEA with my orchestra and one of the judges complimented my bow hold. she said something like “the girl in third chair has a nice flexible wrist for the playing of the sixteenth notes”. we were listening to it in class and everyone looked at me 💀(i play cello)
