Video of the Thunderbirds during the early years. Some footage is pretty raw but, I don't know too many places you can see these.
F-4 hard landing on a carrier.

F-4 completes a very hard landing driving the right gear through the wing. Also note the fuel dumping from the damaged wing.

Fly with the Thunderbirds
Просмотров 27 тыс.11 лет назад
A historic look at the world famous Thunderbilrds. This video was filmed back when the T-Birds were flying the T-38 Talon. It contains some very historic shots of the T-birds when they were flying other airframes like the F-80, F-4, and F-100.

Magnum, off the rails.
My dad was a F-4 pilot then. I have a VHS video of his last fight from 1991 as well. He died last fall as well….Lt. Col Ed Connor.
This was shot in Canada, my dad was flying vipers in the 77th at this time.
I was there from 84 to 86 and worked at the bomb dump.
👍👍
i am just wondering why the Philippine government didn't asked the U.S to lend or perhaps try procure those F-4 Phantom ll combat aircraft for the Armed Forces of the Philippines, during 1992, before the former Clark U.S Air Base has finally signing off, for good during that time, i mean all of those Phantom's are no longer any use in the U.S active service, after its last tour of duty in the 1991 Gulf War in Kuwait. they have been already replace by more advance aircraft, and no longer useful to them except some units that has been turned into an unmanned target drone. those combat aircraft could have been so suitable replacement for the less maintained F-5A/B Freedom Fighters that has been use by the Philippine Air Force, for so many years, yeah indeed such a wasted possible opportunity for the Philippine government in my own point view.
Hate to say but if this were today probably more protesters than family friends and support would be there… I hate Clinton closed EAFB
He could have pulled the afterburners. Was he even aware of the f16s? In one incident 10 AAMs were fired at two mig25 by f15 and none of them reached.
FYI, flight controls were far from "ok". Jammed right rudder and right aileron inop. "Ok" meaning good enough for initial egress.
and the camera was from WW I
No
2:57 classic F-16 moment going bingo immediately after one engagement 🤣
Lol true but usually the pilot sets the bingo limit prior to flight
by design
@1:44 Oh man 😐
I was there in August 2000. Wasn't there a landfill right next to the base?
I believe so. I remember burn pits too? Do you remember that? Also, there was a big waste water pond not too far from tent city. Always smelled like butt when the wind was just right.
I grew up in Newton County Texas. I remember the A 10’s flying along the Sabine River. Always a good air show.
"Benji 41 clear to kill clear to kill" "He is a bandit bandit"
That f4 was a fast sob
Why is the HUD footage of air to air kills doctored so heavily before its released to the public?
Due to weapon systems symbology being shown, sensitive information such as launch envelopes and min/max ranges are shown on the HUD and MFD
Don’t forget,, David and Goliath. 😊
Literal flying brick
Funny music - I like it. 😁
uncle xi needs to see this again
Go ahead and do like the other Bloke in the F-106: eject, and the momentum of the seat being fired will push the nose down and take the aircraft out of the flat spin. The Delta Dart landed intact by itself in a snowy slope; a Phantom I cannot tell, but it's worth a try... 😀
This operation has the highest loss of personel the airfortce ever had... Hop in, nothing will happen to you, trust me!!!!!!!
how does WWII footage look better than this
You're looking a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy and so on, of an original tape. The original recording no doubt looked much nicer.

Served with 76AGS 87-91 engine hydraulic mechanic, SERVED in DESERT STORM.
I was stationed there from 1987-1991 with 76th AGS, I was a ENGINE HYDRAULIC MECHANIC.
I was stationed at England from 72-76 working on the A-7D as a crew chief. I loved it, did a tour in Korat Thailand and Howard AFB Panama.
Since this was an F-16D I wonder if anyone was in the back seat of that thing when that happened
the crew in fighters is always fully staffed
@@vincentvoncarnap There doesn't need to be someone in the backseat of a 2 seat F-16
@@F22raptor46 well if they're gonna use an f-16 with only one person they should just use a one-seat variant
@SpiralShape yes but the aircraft that was used was an F-16D. Look up F-16 tailcode 870. They've given it a special desert camo paintscheme now
I loved the F4 Tbirds; for the same reasons people hated them. It was so striking to see aerial ballet with such large and powerful aircraft.
Sleek and chic✈️
Top Crash! ✈️
Precision flying!.. thank you 👍
Awesome!👍✈️
Aerial ballet!..the T38 is sleek and chic! ..salute from down under✈️👍🇳🇿✈️

FUCK AMERICA , FUCK NATO !
FUCK AMERICA , FUCK NATO !
The bandit didn't fire anything? Really strange that they came so close to each other. It was well inside the MAR - could be also deadly for F-16D.
yeah but situational awarness in a mig 25 is not very good, he might know there was something scanning him but where from or how far away he probably did not know. the aim 120 only begins giving warning signs about 10 km away and by that time its way too late to do anything especially in the mig 25.
@@yujinhikita5611 he had warning signs from the beginning, the f16 hard locked him.
Export verision of mig 25 dont have IFF
really?? That seems like a given. @@3arlie
Most likely tied to a ground radar operator. Probably didn't have any situational awareness.
I wonder why they waited so long to fire the missile. 5 miles is way to close within MAR. Another thing i noticed was he was jamming within the burn through range.
to make sure it was really a bandit.
Now THAT brought back some memories.
日本語分かる方いたら教えてください、 f-16がMiG25に勝ったって事でしょうか?
Yes
Choke on this
