Second
What. Tell me about i5
Thank you…. I get major guilt even though I work from home I feel like I should be doing more with him And I hate when I can’t take him places all the time! He looks so sad and it kills me. The guilt and sadness is real.
Thank you!! ❤ needed to hear this
I’ve been a dog trainer for many years and I’ve never had to use an E-collar or a prong collar. Not saying I’d never have to, but I’ve handled problem dogs from shelters and owners and I have never been in a situation where I had to.
I have a Rottweiler, two rough collies and a chihuahua. If I treated them the same, I’d have at least 2 dogs that wouldn’t be content.
Thank you for speaking about this. I’m having a home euthanasia tomorrow for my 18 year old girl. It was booked for next week but she started declining really quickly so I asked if there was a cancellation for sooner. And she said tomorrow. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I thought I was going to have more time with her. 18 years could never be enough time. This sadness is like no other, I’m going to miss her so much :(
You even got me teary. I’m very familiar with pet euthanasia. I want to hear your opinions as I am considering going the path of pet hospice and at home euthanasia. It is such a sad time and I hate seeing pets euthanized at a clinic. Thank you for sharing.
So the best practice it's running after your dog around the park to catch him?? And then what, you put the leash and take him home? So it means that he will associate that everytime you go to him or run after him is to ruin whatever he is doing... Honestly, in theory this might make sense but in the real world...
This really makes sense and is so true ❤ extremely helpful
Bodily Autonomy. Just say you're giving your pets Bodily Autonomy.
How about realizing WHY your dog acts this way. Maybe that would help, then join reality . ruclips.net/video/z7l8x-eghq8/видео.htmlsi=TG2CsfINLQB5InwE
Great ideas!
Best advice I’ve heard of 😮
The product I knew I needed but didn't know existed.
3:42 just rescued an 8mos old border collie mix and found the 6' lead way too short to let her sprint and trot on an explore. Tried a 16' extendable and that's still too short. If we're out in a field and I've let her roam, I don't mind her popping off after a cricket or spider or bird and don't want her breaking her neck at the end of the lead. She doesn't pull at all on normal walks with the 6'. I'm not sure if she's ever worn a collar before but she taught herself to not pull after hitting the end of the lead a couple times. I guess this will be my next size up and work on longer recall.
I will never buy this product.
In addition to all of these I’ve also played crate games with my dog and have made his crate “Disneyland” for him and he still barks and whines when I lock the door
Thank you for this! Unfortunately this matter isn’t talked about and needs to become more mainstream for those of us currently going thru it 😢
Watching this and realizing I did a poor job with my dog. RIP Cody
Thank you for this. My 16 year old girl has cancer. Learned last week it has spread to her lungs and liver. She is suffering. I decided to do at home euthanasia next weekend. My heart is breaking. But it helps knowing what to expect. I am very sorry about your lose.
I’m working on step one 😅 I’m teaching her the look at me command because I’m too impatient to wait an hour for her to look at me unprompted. (I’m not kidding about how long it takes her to even slightly look my way when we’re outside)
Very helpful! I feel encouraged and energized to continue to work everyday on recall. I love the recall game suggestions too. Thank you!
I’m considering doing at home. I’m Worried about associating the lounge room with the experience forever after though. Any advice on this?
Holy crap you are brilliant
What about back paws?
Great job! You covered this very difficult topic so compassionately and professionally and I really appreciate you taking the time to do it.
Good idea. Dogs love it and reduces on destruction on hide and seek games.
I heard “max cyanide” instead of side eye lamp 😂
Too long introduction
Oh yeah, poodles and the side eye, all day long 😂
Great job in getting the important points out to the public about the benefits of AAA/AAT (Animal Assisted Activity/Therapy). More qualified teams are needed as finally after so many years hospitals, schools, hospice, VA etc. are understanding the importance of this work. I have been in this field since 1996 (Pet Partner Volunteer with (5) different dogs, Pet Partner Team Evaluator and Classroom Instructor. More importantly I witnessed the benefits that Monica spoke about thousands of times as Director of the UCLA People Animal Connection (PAC) - I have seen people (children) wake up from being comatose and people with brain injuries and having stokes being told they would never walk or move certain body parts - do the opposite. I believe 100% that these wonderful outcomes have everything to do with the help of therapy team visits. Thank you for getting the “word” out. Jack Barron Jr. (www.therapydogs-nc.com
RUclips's #1 dog trainer??? ...I'm a bit sus on that...
Yeah, it's so not true.
I subscribed because of this
What should people who can not afford a Vet do in this case?
Thank you for this great video ! You have given me a couple of new ideas. My dog hunts for her kibble at dinner time and loves it ! We put her in her 'place' spot and tell her to wait, while we "hide" her kibble in various locations around the living room (we don't hide it in the dining room or kitchen because we don't want to encourage her to look for food in there or beg). Your video gives me ideas of helping with impulse control - she dashes under the table any time food is accidentally dropped. I want to practice this with her using her kibble at mealtime. Thanks Again !
You talk too much, id rather hear the people talk
Bro my dogs retarded or sum
its so so hard to use wipes on my 2 month old puppy!! hes so furry (hes a maltese) he keeps biting and i also have a lot of trouble in toilet training him
Every puppy I've ever had, I've gone through a period that very much feels like when i had post partum depression. This time I planned further ahead, planned better, and got set up better. A crate and a pen, washable floor mats and thoughtful toys, utube training videos...all of it helps. I think having a puppy is still draining and hard, but not as bad. I know it will pass. It will be worth it. I always thought I was alone in feeling like I'm slogging through the pupoy stage though!
To all you dingalings who think they know everything about pet owners who let animals sleep in the bed, just shut up. That's a huge favor you could do. I own 3 dogs and 2 cats, alongside foster dogs that i foster occasionally. My animals sleep with me in the bed. I have a california king size bed. So here's the little tidbit. My bed sheets get washed eveey weeknd, as does my house get a deep clean as well, every weekend. My floors are always swept, mopped, and steam cleaned. My cats have a self cleaning genie litter box with filters. My dogs and cats water fountain has filters as well. My dogs get a bath 3 times a month with deshedding shampoo and using a deshedding brush, as do the cats. They are always up to date on vaccinations every year. Take their preventitives every month. Orkin also treats my yard and house. My house doesn't ever stink. My animals are potty, house, and crate trained, as well has trained in basic commands. The house always is sanitized. I never run into any problems. The thing is, my animals are probably living their best life than people who think it's okay to have their dogs in crates and on chains outside. Dogs aren't wild animals like animals in the wild. They're domesticated, so they shouldn't be treated like wild animals. You can't keep up with pets and your house, you don't need pets and you might need to learn to clean your house. I'm pretty sure my dogs are cleaner than most people.
This video is comforting! Thank you for sharing.
Do you change the water in the mud buster between dogs? It almost feels like you need one mudbuster per paw.
100%
I take my dogs to the bathroom and then wash thier paws in mud baster changing water from between the dogs to changing it after every paw (depends how muddy those paws are). The problem is that by the ti e we get to the bathroom we have to cross half of the house 🤦🏻♀️
I love everything on this channel I always want to train my dog because sometimes things I just don’t know how to do it in this channel has helped me a lot
