Safeway got mine today buy one get one, which makes them $4.50 per pound. Got my top round/ bottom round on sale at $3.49 a pound for delicious jerky. Always just buy what's on sale, cook accordingly , and stock up. Also bought 4 goats milks for 75% off for some delicious goat cheese, I'll add some fresh thyme and rosemary from my garden

I just got them from Acme for $5 a pound. They are normally $7.99. Yup I grabbed 5 double packs .

I agree with you. That is somewhat unusual. I'm looking at buying a new air conditioner. There are some great sales this time of the year, as it should be. They will probably be selling last year's snow blower model at this year's prices. Greed normally prevails!

Where we shop makes all the difference in whether we can afford to eat or not. Aldi's is the best for prices and most quality AT that price. I just came from Publix, one of the most expensive stores around my area. I love Publix, because they do have some good quality food and pleasant people. But I haven't been there in awhile, so was shocked at some of the prices. A box of fried chicken used to be around $10.00 if I recall, and now it's $15.00. I was thinking of getting some, but not at that price. It's not good for me anyway, I reasoned, as I walked away. A jar of mayo? $9. I got the Publix brand. $5 for a loaf of bread from the bakery that isn't a whole loaf. I could go on, but won't, because we all know why we get tears in our eyes when we go shopping. I went to Publix because I had to get some Damp Rid, but they only had the refill, or the whole kit was $16.00. I left my car window down through the storm and now I have a swimming pool in the back floorboard. So I skipped that and will just leave the car in the sun with the windows open for a few days. Hey, ya gotta save where ya gotta save!

My mom was 96, I'd tell her to stay in place while I went to get something. Of course when I came back she had moved. So many times I'd find my name being called over the intercom saying your mother is at the front of the store, lol.
