ASUS CASE A21 - Case Review and Gaming PC build
would you recommend me to buy this case I found a deal on scorptec which comes with a modular 650w psu and the case for 200 dollars with delivery cost.
Yeah I would.. Scorptec bundle deals are generally a pretty good deal.
Sabe me dizer se eu consigo colocar o Ryzen 7 3800 x nesse gabinete com uma placa mãe B550 tuf gaming ?
hi dude , I want to build with the same case. could you tell me the system of the fans i mean how to connect the fans to the motherboard and its cables
The fans on this one are fixed colour pin DC fans.. If your motherboard has 4 fan header connectors then should be fine.. Other wise you will need a fan hub.
Подскажите можно ли в этом корпусе 1stPlayer D3-A-WH-2G6P убрать лгбт пропаганду с вентиляторов ?
I just bought this case for my son to build a basic gaming computer. Thanks for the video! Looks like it will be an easy build.
Yeah it is an easier one to build into. Hope your son has a good time putting it together.
hello, is it okay for the fan from the power supply to face the other fan?
Yeah any extra cooling over the psu is fine.
@@localtechexperts ok thanks !!
Can the two side panels be swapped around so the glass is behind the mother board?
I honestly cant remember sorry
What kind of PSU is that?
Just a 80+ white atx one. Nothing special.
@localtechexperts thanks!
Can't believe you got your hands on a pink/black one. I can't seem to find them for sale anywhere 😭
Yeah they only had these two. The pink and black one is actually really cool.
Very helpful. I just got one of these myself.
Its a great bang for buck case.. Havn't had too many QA issues with it.
I had a *very* hard time getting the supplied screws in to the base of the case, for the motherboard standoffs. They don't seem to have been pre-drilled at the right size.
Yeah that can happen with all cases it seems. Did you use the supplied standoffs? Sometimes even different suppliers have different sizes.
@@localtechexperts Yes, I used the ones in the box. Had to really work them. In the end it would have been easy to drill new holes out. Very weird, because the rest of the case is fine, build-quality wise. Instructions could have been better though.
Dude, the reset Button on Mine its really weird, i need to press really deep for the click to happen, your unity came like that as well?
I have built into this one quite a few times and yes. Have had that one a few of them unfotunately.
Can it changes rgb colour?
No case fans are either rainbow or off.
75$? Here, In India Amazon its about 40$
Australia have it pretty bad for case costs.
This is such a good case for home server.
Never thought of it in that use case but you are totally right!
which power supply did you use ?
Oh man.. So cant remember.. But I never go less than a decent brand and rated 550w
Are the inbuild fans loud and also can you control the fans that come with the pc?
The inbuilt fans are molex unfortunately. So full speed 100% of the time.. They are not that loud thankfully.
@thanks I’ll just buy some other fans and put those in instead
Could you put a video capture card under the graphics card in this case?
I think would be ok.. Kind of depends on how many slots your GPU takes up.
@localtechexperts asus phoenix 3060 single fan. Is the one I have. I believe it uses 2 spaces.
@localtechexperts also thank you for replying man!
@@localtechexperts i have a 3080 evga. I kinda of want to use it. But I definitely need my cam link pro to plug in.
As u have build many pc with this cabinet..Will the MSI B650m gaming and 4070 will fit? coz i have seen many builds same case and same components they didnt mention abt any difficulty abt gpu height…and wht do you think about 50 series gpu will fit in future? I like the size of cabinet would be perfect to shift here and there though..
Hi thanks for watching.. I would not suggest this case for gpus over 1.5 or 2 slot gpus.. The bottom fan clearance just isnt there and removing them would remove all intake fans.. Better off going with a more traditional style case.. Something like the ASUS A21 maybe.
umm, okay but how about the other version like cx500m or something..
Yeah but that is an ATX case so MATX motherboard in there may look a little strange..
@@localtechexperts umm okay i think i will go with cx200m coz there website mention it can fit 2.5 m gpu
If you like the look and need MATX with a little more clearance maybe check out the Thermaltake View 170.. I have a video on that one too.
My left ear enjoyed the intro
I've managed to work out the buttons and dials a little better since then thankfully.
No fuss, no muss, no frills, easy build all round
Just how I like it. Though getting the itch for an itx build or two in the future.
Fan on back side is intake or exhaust?
Set as exhaust
will a full size psu fit ?
Yes fits standard ATX power supply
Does this case not have a dust filter on the outside of the case for the fans?
Theres one on the top.. cant remember if there is one on the side
Apparently they were goin with a wood grain look. Perhaps that discoloration is the “woods grain”
Hrm possible I guess. If thats what they were going for they failed miserably. I may get a black one and double check and report back if it has th same markings on it.
@ for sure either way I love the case.
Yeah I will be using it for builds for sure.. Only one video per case though.
Just finished building into two more.. 1 White 1 black and yep they both have the same marking so its apparently on purpose.
They all have that discoloration on the front. Such a bad look. It's even the photos they use for promotion if you look really close.
what exact parts did you put in the pc? besides the specs and how much was it all together in aud?
Costed somewhere around the $600-$700 AUD mark to put together I would say.
Great video and a comprehensive review of the case without waffle. Love it.
Thank you. I try look at it from a builders perspective rather than a marketers one.
Looked like a good case with plenty of room to work in
Yeah really is a beginner friendly case.
You seem to use a lot of white cases, is that personal preference or do you find they sell better?
Yeah they just sell better. Hopefully the trend of white starts to fade out. I do like a classic black out build for myself personally though.
@@localtechexpertsThats interesting, I sell a few builds over here in Brisbane but I've never tried a white case because the other parts are harder to find in white. Might have to give it a shot with some black components though
Yeah works out ok.. Finding the extra white parts is a pain but just the case is ok.
How did you get your RGB strips to work on the front of the PC + the fans? I got the Fara 511z, but there is nothing to connect the provided LED cable on. Does it had to be put on the mother board itself?
Check timestamp 3:40 Shows the ARGB controller included with this one.. It connects to there. Not sure about the 511 but would assume it should come with one too.
With the 2 extra intakes at the front its basically a more budget and smaller version of the view 270.
Yeah its the MATX version of the 270
Hi! How’s the front mesh? Does it have small holes which can block some dust? Thanks
Yes it does
the case looks really interesting, not the usual box shaped, fish tank case...
Yeah they were kind of popular for a second there but kind of dropped off.
Hi case looks awesome, I wanted to ask if this can fit ASUS TUF 7900gre with MSI B650M gaming plus wifi micro atx mobo?
Hrm.. If that card is 2.5 slot it may have clearance issues with the bottom fans.
@@localtechexperts thanks for the response, yea I figured. Ended up finding an affordable case with good clearance tho! Thanks again, subscribed for the informative responses :)
Are the fans and the fans argb daisy chain able
Yes
I was looking at this case online is the airflow on it good?
These fishtank cases are not actually that great for airflow. Mesh sided ones are better.
Nice overview mate. Do you know if the top dust filter is removable? Cheers
Hrm.. Cant recall sorry.
Hi Jason, bummer you had to clean it but bonus that it was working
Yeah I tend to get some really disgusting ones.
Would this really fit the phantom spirit 120se cooler? Some cases lie and I want to know if it actually would fit a 155mm cooler
Dont have this one to measure anymore.. If the specs say it will fit a 155mm cooler then I have to reason to think otherwise.
does an asus p7p55d-e motherboard and gtx 1660 super would fit in this?
That looks like an ATX motherboard.. These cases only fit MATX motherboards. So you would have to find a different motherboard... The GTX1660 is fine though. I have done a bunch of builds into this case with that GPU.
@@localtechexperts oh ok thanks, Also Im planning on upgrading my 15 yr old cpu i5 760 to the upcoming core ultra 7, do you think an asus strix z890 would be the good choice?
Couldn't say for sure until release.. Particularly the cost to performance ratio.. Also Asus have been getting dragged through the mud recently for poor customer service in relation to warranty returns.
Nice showcase, thank you :) Considering this case for my first build in quite some time, but one thing is bugging me: from the time lapse it looks like the PSU power switch is not accessible in a finished build? That would be KO for me, as I semi frequently travel with my PCs. I like the handle so much tho 😭
Yeah jonsbo tend to hide them up front. Just leave the psu turned on.. Not sure how that would effect with traveling?
planning to build my daughter one using b660m asus with i5 12 600,fan cooling ok?
This case is for ITX motherboards not MATX. Also it's kind of centered around aio cooling for the cpu.. If a 120mm AIO is within budget would certainly go with one of those.
@@localtechexperts mini mother board?
Yes this case only fits ITX motherboards.. Not MATX or ATX.
@@localtechexperts thanks I change it in my list
I think you put 2 reverse fans and 1 fan in the top not 3 exhaust.I am building in 1 of these in black next week.would you recommend custom fan mesh filters on the undercarriage?
Yeah I noticed that post filming unfortunately. Dont think mesh in the bottom would actually help that much because the ventilation on the sides.
My guy...your dog barking just scared the ever living piss outta me LOL
Whoops sorry.. I promise they are friendly ;)
So i bought the same case i guess i didnt understood the video so the pc turns on but the fans arent spinning so i power it on and everything goes on just the fans arent spinning can someone help me?
Like the case fans? Are they all plugged into the fan headers?
@@localtechexpertsyes they are all pluged in
Not just the ARGB but the actual PWM cables too? they have two cables per fan. It would be weird for all the fans to be dead at once.. It includes a splitter so maybe bypass that for testing each fan.
This is awesome well done! You explained it really well.
You are very kind. Thankyou
good joob this is the only extended review out there, well appreciated!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Hi so sorry but is it ok to fit the rtx 4070 ti super in it? If not can i just remove the bottom fans?
The bottom fans can be removed.. Just may have to also check the length because this is my no means a long case either
@@localtechexperts Thank you for your response. i am using the same mainboard msi b650m gaming wifi, and the rtx is around 59mm heigh and 307 mm length. do you think it can fit in well?
The specs say 330mm for length of GPU so should be ok.
Can you use a atx mainbord in that case ?
No you want the View 270 for ATX size.
Nice 🙂👍
Thanks for the visit
