I followed this video for replacing the wiper switch on my FJ and the video here is a bit exaggerated, you can replace your wiper switch without taking the wheel off, but at a minimum you do have to remove 5 screws, one from the bottom of the steering column, two on the steering column that can only be seen when the wheel is turned, and two more screws that secure the wiper switch in place. Aside from that, this video works well for quickly demonstrating how to efficiently swap the wiper switch.

If u don’t have an engine heater, put a heavy blanket n then a tarp over the hood to keep the engine warmer than it is rn. Plus ply boards around the hood works great also or with both combined, it’ll be even better

I had a 91 Caprice Classic for 12 years as my daily driver in Helsinki Finland the car had 280000km on it when I bought it back in 2009 and 350000km when I sold it in 2020. During the first winter the starter motor broke in half and I put in a new one and a new battery, after that it allways started right up , even at insane temperatures of over -32celcius. These cars are awesome and so much fun to drive on snowy roads with!

These engines are definitely not junk.
