This was a beautiful interview Presh. AG trainees are the most capacitated in my opinion & I think the industry is starting to catchup on that even though more can still be done to change the perception out there especially of recruiters. At AG you are exposed to: (1) two main legal frameworks for your auditees i.e PFMA & MFMA (2) three financial reporting frameworks i.e. IFRS, GRAP and Modified Cash Standards (3) 3 types of engagements i.e. Financial Statements audit, Compliance audit and Audit of predetermined objectives While the above does not fit the private sector like a glove, someone from AG is multifaceted and is trained to handle forever changing environments well. Now, that is incredible

The invigilator app did things l still can never forget 😂. It’s 2022, we still adjusting to the hybrid learning system. I remember vividly, taking a selfie 🤳 while writing ✍️ a Pure Calculus exam at the University of Johannesburg. I was frustrated with it 😂because why am l taking selfies instead of doing my maths. The idea is great but the technology for it needed more work. I can’t wait to listen to the whole podcast.
