My bad, my space was limited. The question was how do you feel about the Coolidge Effect negatively impacting human relationships. The Coolidge Effect in humans have been studied for about 10 years. When it comes to humans the measuring of dopamine is the focus and it has been producing stats that basically say, “due to people chasing dopamine highs with the increase usage of Social Media, it has negatively affected relationships”. Not speaking to poly lifestyle but more so “hook up culture”. That due to the constant chase of the high, there is a decrease in relationships because people are not connecting on anything outside of the sexual experience. That the “epidemic” can be compared to that of the effects of cocaine because the high is so temporary that you’re always looking for the next fix. That with extreme high comes extreme lows, to after a short time you completely burnt out and no unable to connect on any other level.
