How much water do you use when you first replant? Love your video by the way!
Bless you too! That looks really good😋just wish you would have tried the greens without the sauerkraut so we could have known what the true flavor was.
I love❤ all your aloe Vera plants 🪴 thanks for your videos ,and how do u prepare the rinse for the hair ? Thank you ❤❤❤
Wow! I love your plants! Beautiful sunroom. Thank you so much, I like the idea of the outer support pot. Can an aloe plant be staked for support. I’ve never seen it done but was curious. Thanks so much for sharing.
@@carolyncoppola974 thank you! Glad the video was helpful. I do sometimes support the larger leaf plants with larger rocks to get it established. For smaller pups I may support the them by cutting the bottom of a ziplock bag enough to slip the leaves through Then I may use a stake to hold it there for a season and ziplock the top to keep the leaves more vertical.
u don't need vodka just use water
Well, if you are just making a cup of tea and add stevia to whatever herbs you are brewing then yes you just need hot water. But, If you’re going to make an extract, then you do need to use vodka to extract the sugars by soaking the stevia leaves over a period of just 36 hrs or so in vodka or rum. Then strain and cook down to evaporate alcohol and make it more concentrated.
I'm so grateful I came across your videos...very helpful...
Glad it was helpful! Blessings 🌸
wonderful, instructive, easy to understand video. I'm curious why you put the paper towels at the bottom. Isn't a hole at the bottom necessary?
I’m glad it was helpful and yes, there are holes at the bottom of the container. The reason why I put the paper towel is because the fresh dirt will fall through so the paper towel temporarily holds it in until the dirt gets firm and has roots. The paper towel breaks down very quickly. God bless 😊
@@Gods_creation.His_harvest Ahh... makes sense. thank you so much!
Thanks for showing us your thought process when encountering issues.
You’re welcome! ☺️
I want to be that kind of husband
😊
Anybody else smile when hubby came in and kissed her cheek. So sweet. ❤ So you have to keep that long part of stem? Why can't it be lopped at roots? Just curious.
Yes that was sweet of hubby☺️ I have had a few comments about that ☺️ Concerning your question on the Aloe I’m not totally sure what you’re asking. There are two methods you can use when you transplant. You can actually cut off the bad or unwanted leaves and leave a 3 inch stem, eliminating all existing roots and repot. It will grow new roots. Or if your roots aren’t that far down, you can try to repot it in a bigger pot with the roots intact But you want to make sure you position your plant so it’s upright and looks good when you’re done I hope that helps.😊
Amen
I love aloe juice, I drink aloe Vera juice twice a day. God bless you ❤.
@@LashusJourney that’s great 😃

Thank you for being such a good mom. Your precious little lady is loved.
@@SteveBlakes she is 😊
Silly question, are their seeds still viable after being in the dehydrator? 🤔
@@jonathan_r_lee92 i don’t know actually, never tried to plant them. They would just be used for flour. I use the Nepali leaves to start a new plant. if I was going to save seed to plant, I probably wouldn’t use the dehydrated ones, but as I said, I don’t use seeds for planting. I just use the leaves much faster.😊
This video is exactly what I needed to help me to work out how care for my large leggy Aloe Vera. So happy to have found this and love your chatty style. ❤

Thankyou
@@CherylFreeman-bf9rj your welcome 🤗
That is Aloe Arborescens. Not Aloe Vera.
I don’t think so
I was impressed with your double-pot method. No need to fill the outer pot with soil.
Right! And the Aloe root doesn’t need that much soil but it can get too heavy. So an extra bigger pot will help support the leaves. You can put stone or small rocks around it to act as a weight if desired.
@@Gods_creation.His_harvest - I like your rocks idea, too.
this lady is definitely the aloe, whisperer!

Thank you so much for the info mine was hanging over my side of my pot in dire need of a new home ! Thank you so much for this video! It's so helpful! I only wish I saw it sooner. Now, I'm trying to save my massive aloe from root rot because we moved to a new house that has almost no light and it takes forever for the soil to dry out.
@@elizabethwittenberg2896 glad it helped. In areas with low light you want to water much less.
A neighbor gave me some clippings from his plant today & i hope one day it is as big as yours!
If your neighbor gave you a napale leaf then they are easy to plant. You can plant by laying them flat on the ground and they will produce roots underneath or you can bury it sideways halfway in the ground, but I would wait and do it when the weather is appropriate or plant in a greenhouse until summer.
It has so much uses. I have some I bough from the farmers market and they are sour but I guess this can work too.
Hmm, possibly not ripe enough yet.
I found some aloe and I took them. I need to clean and cut them. Do I need to wait two days before planting them in soil?
@@Kim-b2p are these these leaves or the whole plant and do they have roots?

Could I use a juicer to do the same thing? Or is it better to do it your way for prickly pears?
@@WDWanda6 this juice does have a lot of mucilage. I don’t know if a juicer would work. I do have a juicer and I’ve never tried it. I don’t think it would work as well, but you can find out.

Just seen this video. I am from the Apache reservation out in Arizona and wanted to get back into this. This video really helped me understand the process or another process I can use to prepare; what we call Pre-reservation diet.
@@Skodenoutdoorsmen Ok! Glad it was helpful! ☺️
2024 you are doing it wrong you cut that long root and plant it in a biger container
The container size depends on the size of the plant. But Aloes grow well in smaller pots where the soil does not stay wet for a long time. You can put in larger pot but do not overwater. It just depends.
Well, now I know everything. I was afraid I'd damage mine, or that new roots will not grow if I break the stem. Nice to know I was worried over nothing. Suggestions? Nah, you won't get a single one. You explained everything.
