I really enjoyed your review. I agreed with much of your assessment. The review came to a crashing end when you came to the miles per gallon. I test drove the FWD and AWD, I was happy with the FWD-and I even said no to the panoramic moonroof. I’m getting 39 MPG on the highway with a brand new engine, and that impresses this American who has to drive 30 miles to work every day. My 2024 VW Taos almost helps me forget my 2017 VW Golf Sportwagen S 5-Speed FWD. Und das ist Etwas.

in my case the gte -- it does not work full electric if it senses that you ask more power. It does not work full electric when uphill after 80km/h GTE is very different to the other driving modes...it is much more aggressive. You cand feel it when uphill. What i hate about it is the rear swing when cornering in speed. Because of the batteries the rear starts to oversteer. in my case -- the consumption is 4.5 in the summer and 5.5 in the winter. I charger at home all the time and use the car 80% city

I just purchased a 2023 Taos S base model here in Houston Texas. Your review is the B3ST and most SPOT-ON of any I have seen on RUclips. I will definitely subscribe to your Channel. I almost went with the higher-priced SE model, but after test-driving them I felt like the front-wheel drive base model performed better and was sportier then the dual-clutch. You mentioned this was fun to drive I think you'd be surprised because the base model is more fun in my opinion. It also gets better gas mileage. I don't do a lot of off-road driving so I don't need the four-wheel drive. Anyway thanks for the review. I'm so excited about my new purchase and I'm sharing your video with Friends vet are too far away to come see my car.❤❤❤

6:50 In the Mk1, although *an electric power-roof was an option* for the final years of production it was not in all the cars, in fact very few were made with power tops. If a car has it the power-top button is located directly under the ashtray.

Audi A8 with a VW badge or just a big luxury posh fat VW Passat ( from outside) or a poor man`s Bentley?! The customer was more confused than the maker! Hybrid tech version might a more reliable mechanical long term option, saving wear and tear on a weakish engine if history is taken into account.

That Phaeton is far beyond it's design, very much still desired.

I have followed VW for literally decades. Through the decades they have had really fantastic ideas. That being said, they have made the most stupid decisions of ANY car company in existence. This is yet another classic example of VW's stupidity! A beautiful car that would sale if marketed properly. The VW board has once again screwed up!!!

I love them, bringing back the wooden steering wheel, those have pretty much disappeared.

After 10 years driving Amarok (first the 2.0D now the 3.0D) I just ordered the Ford Ranger Wildtrak X. For me it just looks better and you get more for your money. Still waiting for a BEV Pickup appearing in Germany though...

This is the most beautiful car ever built and solidly built and luxuriously finished like no other!!!

I like my Taos, it is a fun subcompact SUV to drive. I have a 22 S with 4motion and IQ drive. I am very concerned about long term reliability. I have had my check engine light come on twice so far. The first one was fixed with a software update and I am taking the car to the dealer this week to get the second one checked out. The car only has 5000 miles on it.

SO SAD that VW has LOWERED itself to engaging FORD - TERRIBLE! My VW Bora V6 4Motion - 2003 - FAULTLESS, ZERO problems, sadly I had to sell, moved overseas to retire, what a MAGNIFICENT car and Made in Germany. This quality no longer exists. 3 FORD vehicles, all complete JUNK! NEVER AGAIN for FORD. Thank you for allowing me to post a review!

Thank you for this review. Averaging 27 MPG in the city while accelerating hard as many times as you did is not bad, especially for a vehicle with 4-motion. Getting on the highway and following speed limits would likely get you further up the ladder on MPG.

Why on earth did VW team up with Ford I can't understand. I did like the look of the first gen Amarok, but it was so much more expensive than the competition. I haven't seen this new Ford/VW Amarok in person yet, so I'm looking forward to that. My money will be spent on the Toyota Hilux GR-S. I love the simplicity of Toyota, no fancy super large screen filled with tech and a 10 speed tranny etc., No other bakkie manufacturer in South Africa can keep up with the Hilux in sales.

No electric version, don't ruin a good car!!!!
