do you prefer the MEPS over a gen? and that a/c is made for Frazer you should be able to order parts from them
yeah i feel like overall meps is better, alot less things to go wrong. yet still some pros and cons. think i will eventually do a video on it. i think i have checked with frazer before, but your probably right ill check to see if i can order it from them. thanks for checking out the video. appreciate ya.
Excellent tutorial. Keep'em coming.
Nice
So I have a primer similar to this and it will not allow me to pull it out any tricks?
like the lever is stuck and it wont let you pull/ engage it?
@ correct
@drewd8033 unscrew the primer handle. Then unscrew the primer assembly from the pannel. Put it on the bench and take it apart. Replace any seals that are bad. Clean and lube seals and shaft
Good video. There's not many EVT's on RUclips. Keep'em coming.
Most hale pumps are supposed to drip 60 drops per minute with pump engaged. It should not drip with pump disengaged.
Grab a case of brake clean and a box of rags. 90% of that job is cleaning it
not a bad idea. I did start using the pressure washer with the heat on. way faster. one day ill do a updated video.
I'm getting no power still for some reason. All connections are good. Confused.
what harness are you using to connect radio to factory car harness?
are you using the Metra 70-7553 harness?
Keep up the great work !
Thank you for trying ATOTO products! Very professional review! Looking forward to more of your content!
Ahhh you got me excited about that pool noodle video!
You look like you've done this before.
@TheRocketguy13 I used to install at circuit city but that was 20 years ago. I'm a bit rusty.
Great info bro, i would note if you can get needle nose pliers in there squeeze the terminals a little bit to tighten its clamping force on the fuse prongs.
Where are you
Thanku you so much bro
Great video!
If your gonna drive 14,114 ft up on a day in questionable weather, then you simply need to know what you are doing. You could by her driving that she was scared and had no business being there in the first place. Or simply stop an wait for it to pass.
I like the 2 second rule. Generally, you were farther behind than that. Notice how she kept straddling the double yellow, then she'd correct only to wander over it again? My guess is the rage was alcohol powered.
lmao
Generally, less than 3 seconds behind is too close. With water, on a fairly extreme road you haven't driven, 4 seconds is reasonable. On the haily bits, where there is a small possibility of an extended slide, more. Tailgating on this road has no benefit: no passing for a long way. By staying 1 second further back, you arrive at the first passing place 1 second later.
How do you get the back panel off?
once you get all the screws out you kinda lift straight up on it. if your still having trouble getting it off there maybe one or two more screws holding it on. hope this helps
@@scottyzevtthank you so much :)
She was definitely tripping bro 😂
thank you. thats what i thought!
Awesome video. Cab bushes are never fun to replace.
Thanks brother!
I am having trouble removing the shaft from an old Hale setup. It doesn’t have any spot for a wrench to get it off.
hey jkgerry. sounds like you have a one piece shaft. you will probably have to remove the drive line going into the pump transmission to access the fork that is attached to the rod. you will need to remove the shift fork to remove the rod completely.
Kind of unrelated but what would happen if you ran the pump with it not engaged or engaged but the transmission left in neutral? We have some really hot hydrants in our area and i have spoken with a number of people and am very experienced myself and havent found a way to reduce the pressure with a number of different methods but still havent found a real solution. One person had suggested leaving it in neutral and letting the impellers act as brakes but I dont think it really makes a lot of sense operationally but the bigger question is fluid pumps in the transmission or transfer case. Concerned that it would be like towing without pulling the drive shafts. Basically cook something because the transmission pump isnt spinnining or that the same might be an issue in tne transfer case.
These normally take a while to go bad for the most part? We have air bags still on a 2010 and 2012 F450 but are getting new trucks with liquid spring in the next 6-7 months. Just curious if there is anything to look out for.
@@warhawk3136 they last a pretty good while. They tend to seep but usually nothing more then a class 2 leak. If it's starts dripping on the ground then we will pull the set off and have them rebuilt.
@@scottyzevt Do you have a mileage range when you've had to rebuild them? We are a volunteer department with maybe 300 runs a year so we don't rack up miles like a larger city department does.
@@warhawk3136 just of the top of my head, probably about 70 to 100k. ill look tomorrow at the last one we did.
@@scottyzevt Sounds like we shouldn't have much of an issue at all, unless we just get a bad batch. But it looks like they have a 5 year warranty for most of it anyway. Appreciate the info.
@@warhawk3136 no problem any time. yeah the most issues ive had is with it not dumping hence the video.
I rotate all my fuses every 6 months.
I just changed out a one-piece VPS shaft and fixed a cobbled road to pump set up on an older 84 Mack with a G-series Tcase. I am now having issues with the allison going in to lock up. Also, the indicator light was botched is the transmission given signal through the indicator circuit, or is it supposed to receive a signal for lock up from the shaft indicator on the rear end of the shaft?
i believe it should be receiving it from the switch on the pump transmission.
I am just now seeing this. So can i test that switch with a simple continuity test and what signal voltage should i see on the harness plug. When we did the 2piece conversion, it came with a new shaft cover and dual switches. We did not change the shaft cover. Due to the new switches did not match the harnes plug and the harness plug was not provided.@scottyzevt
What's wrong with the actuator?
I’m having the exact issue with a truck 🤦🏼♂️
we have 4 dash cf pucs that were also doing the same thing. they mount the modules horizontally in the same position, after cleaning and using dielectric grease, the corrosion got so bad we ended up having to re-pin the whole connector. then the data link kept corroding. we ended up separating the j1939 out of the barrel connector and making its own duetch connector.
If you not a engineer on the fire dept. You don't need to know how to start a fire truck. Smh
Some engineers don't know how to properly start there own fire engines. I know cause I have to show them. ;)
@scottyzevt sorry but if you have to show a made engineer how to start the truck. They should demote themselves to the backseat.
@@phxbornandraised1817 you completely missed the point of the video. The video is just to show the proper sequence. some of the drivers/engineers will leave the ignition switch in the on position all the time and just toggle the battery switch, that will damage modules over time. i even say in the video you will get com loss issues if the proper sequence isnt done correctly.
I'm an only EVT here at my maintenance department, and I have to say that I learned something new today. Keep up the good work!
thanks! appreciate it! ill try to keep it up.
Great Video ! Thank you
How do u get to cool
Had something similar happen with the head on my snowblower. It’s the little things that make all the difference 😂
Thanks my dear friend for the video
Good video. I use solvent, like Safty Kleen. Takes it off fast. Same method you're using.
Do you know what it means if the red malfunction light is on and all 4 of the steering lights are blinking? Suspension will not go up when this is happening
should be able to figure it out, have you looked at the manual online? ill post a link, and i look through it to see if i can help you out. baltimorecountyfra.org/inferno/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Liquid-Spring-Manual.pdf page 10
so i just read through what i posted as a link and it doesnt show anything with the red warning light and the 4 steering lights. ill look through my book tomorrow to see if i find anything. if thats a loss ill call my frazer guy.
I would very much appreciate that. I had read through the manual you sent even before watching your video. I cannot find anything out there about this issue.
@@mikeb8133 sorry im just now getting back to you on this. My frazer warranty guy gave me this for you to check.
No problem. Thank you for replying. If you tried to send something with it to it didn't send. Or at least I don't see it lol
Use locking pliers and a pry-bar on the pig tails/ o ring pullers works a lot easier then pulling by hand 👍
good day. I'm a firefighter from Ukraine, we received a 1995 Pierce Saber Pumper as help, the car came from Salem. Please advise on servicing the car

how to steal a fire truck 101
literally, but your average joe cannot drive one.
good luck pulling it out of the bay without ripping off the mirrors.
I would like hear a comment from Hale on the pump packing adjustment, I worked on a lot of Hale pumps and adjusted a lot of packing and never used an air hammer with a steel flat punch on a brass adjustment ring unless I intended to replace the adjustment ring. The packing is likely full of scale like the bottom of the pump. My tech were suppose put the pump in gear, with the truck not running and make an adjustment while turning the adjustment nut. The reason for this was the pump shaft can float a bit and I have seen older packing that was tighten like this move the impeller into the clearance ring and end up cutting through it. You can feel it if you are turning by hand but you won't if you just run the pump off the engine. Eight drops per minute at 150 I find is a little tight but you can check the shaft and gland temperature with a laser temp tester. The3 reason you want to change the packing every 2 to 3 years is so you change them before thy scale up and get this hard, Hardly ever happens. I believe by the looks of it just changing the packing on the outside of the lantern ring would only be a short solution. I believe to do a proper job you need to drop the pump and check the shaft for grooving and install a new packing and lantern ring. Thanks for your video, just a comment from a old master EVT.
Yeah I really appreciate the comment. Good info. I actually ended up replacing the packaging and adjuster on this very unit.in a later video.
What kind of flow sensor used in the discharge line?
Typically it's a paddle wheel style
So what is the frequency of flow meter calibration you perform ?
What's the drain discharge pressure ?
Nice PLC to operate.
