Suzuki should have stayed with the tail lights prior to 2009.
@@RickG-l3b yo you read my mine. I like many styling cues from this model but I have to agree on the tail it's butt ugly
Sounds like a dick in milk no matter what you do.
Is it possible to use the original seat?
Man it's been a while since I did a rear hoop on theses. But from watching the video I want to say yes but it might not be a perfect fit. The original looks to be a bit wider so some widening and extension might be in order. Good luck
@ hahaha your video actually help. Anyway thank you for your response 🫡

@@Mike-ye2gb Yes sir and I hope to see them again when I visit yearly. Thanks for stopping in to watch, they were so thorough I had to cut the video short but do stay tuned for more from the States.
Yep, A dickhead solution to a non apparent problem. How wonderful are you really? I'm now waiting for an upload to dim headlights with translucent paint from you. Better get on to that one.
would this explain why my 2 stroke outboard boat motor will only start after its been sitting in direct sun on a warm day for awhile? it will never start in the morning at night or any time its not above 78 and sunny.. this actually seems like the closet thing to matching what im seeing... when it does run it runs perfect, it never needs choke to start either, its always 1 pull or just a tap on the starter or its not doing anything until its warm boat guy, here looking at yall bike guys for 2 stroke advice
@@anonpers0n from your explanation it does sound like it's your choke circuit especially once it's able to start it runs perfectly. Hope it's a easy removal for ya because I never worked on a boat before. Good luck boat brother 🍀👍

I LIVE IN THE U.S, FLORIDA TO BE PRECISE AND I'M INVESTING NOW SO THAT LATER ON I CAN LIVE IN ASIA 1/3 OF THE TIME, I DON'T LIKE THE AMERICAN CULTURE AT ALL
@@LEELUNK-IS-A-HUNK yeah man, it's interesting cause I hear that from other people as well. I also hear that some other States are more suited for slower living and self sustainability. Thanks for commenting
REGARDLESS OF THE STATE, IT'S STILL AMERICAN CULTURE. WHEN I TURN ABOUT 62, I'LL BE IN ASIA 1/3 OF MY TIME, THE OTHER 1/4, I'LL BE IN FLORIDA.
No Costco in Thailand.
@@chinatownboy7482 yeah man no Costco but we do have something similar. It's called Makro
@@zukins5003 The economy dictates availability. Can someone making 45 baht afford to shop at Costco? If Thai people bought in bulk, where would they put all of that stuff? Who has the living space for 5 gallon buckets of soy sauce, cases of noodles, and an entire frozen goat? Americans have larger homes, so they fill the garage with cases of water, soda, and 100 pounds of rice. In Asia, people shop for food by the day, not for a 6 month supply.

Modern plugs are pre-gapped, thats why there are so many plug model numbers. Not required to check or regap them
My 2015 forty eight starts wobbling at 90 mph after installing this crap! Any suggestions???? Thx! 🙏
@@BraulioMolaguero if I remember correctly most wobbles starts around 50-70 and I believe it starts to go away but than I'm not a mechanic. Good luck with it and hopefully you get it sorted out
@@zukins5003 Sorry but I should have been clearer about what is happening....the motorcycle vibrates at almost all speeds but not laterally and the dangerous wobble begins around that speed. At around 90 miles per hour it intensifies and the movement is lateral.
What seat is that?
It's the original seat with trimmed foam and If I remember correctly also modified bottom of it so it sits flushed to the frame..
The big problems are the exhausts, 20/30 % of your power comes from exhaust resonance. That's why 2stroke bikes all have the Same ugly pipes and resonator setup, still an interesting bike , try messing around with the exhaust tip placement it may make a difference.
Yes it's unfortunately been in the shop for wiring since this post;( when I get it back I will take your suggestions on the exhaust, totally makes sense but I never thought about it. Thanks brother for commenting the great tip 💯 🔥
Won't it feel weird with so much more suspension travel in the rear?
@@FightFilms it's just the length of the shocks that makes it looks high but as for travel and stiffness it will depend on what the shock's specifications are. So far this is just a mock up brother and I will keep what you said in mind. Thanks again for stopping in to check it out and commenting, I appreciate the support!!
Word. You can always affect the geometry or soften or harden the spring rate by moving those top shock stud mounts fore or aft, up or down. Or the bottom ones, or both, if possible, even extending the swingarm. I moved my top ones 2 inches to the front and that made a huge difference. I look forward to the update, anyway.
Cool compressor trick.
brother, i dont know much of modifications, but clearly, you done the best of the best!, congratts
Yo brother I'm totally new to these things so I'm learning as I go and thanks for the words of encouragement 🙏
Did you need to remove the gas tank?
I didn't but my tank is lifted (tilted) so that might be the reason. I have heard of some not having to do so, either way I think it shouldn't be too bad. Good luck and thanks for stopping in.
so easy....👏👏👏
Yeah man, this is another easy one, check it out..ruclips.net/video/b5r_oEkFttA/видео.htmlsi=ZtgI53JfR9YNiCKl
Best bike in the world. Worst attempt at a music in the world.
Come to think about it I will have to agree on the music attempt but not sure about best bike in the world..
@@zukins5003 Well, it's just my opinion (which is always the correct one 🙂). I rode a 2009 model since 2009 till 2020 (some 70k km), early last year I bought a 2003 model, but I gave it to my GF (when I bought a C90T a few months later). Probably by next week I'm going to check out another one in mint condition. Yeah, I truly adore this particular bike model that much.
That's awesome man, I love mines too cause if I didn't it would have been long gone. You love yours more than me liking mines if you're thinking of picking up another one haha I don't blame..I'm just broke;) keep it up!!

Just reving you , what ever makes you feel good, and again good looking bike, l got a 2007 Boulevard, c50 just a great bike, keep riding.
@@terrykemble-yi2nc yeah man right on, keep her maintain and she should be good to you. Thanks for stopping in brother.
WTF, was that music, good looking bike though.
Hey sir, I know you posted this a while ago. Just a question, I have a VL800 that's making a clanking noise near the headset over bumps etc. 23k miles. I think it's the headset. Should I try this first or do you think I have to remove it?
Typically once it gets to that point it's most likely damage. Those bearings have a lot of load on them and if not properly maintain can have wear on them but with that said yes you can try to tighten them up little by little and see if it helps. Good luck and lmk if it fixed it.
@zukins5003 hey brother thanks for getting back! I tried tightening up the headset. It wasn't tight, but also didn't fix the problem. I ordered a motorcycle jack so I can take the forks off and check the bearings and fork seals. I appreciate you
@toanmaxdark7 absolutely no problem. However I recommend you have all the parts and tools necessary to get the job done. And be ready just in case you can't get it done be prepared to have a backup plan in terms of bike use.
Watching you enjoying life, making memories makes me want to ship my bike to Thailand and hit the open road
Thank you. Thank you., and yes if you're ever out this way Def hit me up:) I think you will also enjoy it until then see ya on the next trip. I appreciate you coming along and commenting.
the Mom just returned from Thailand/Laos visiting family and friends. Stay Safe/enjoy life and ride on@@zukins5003
Ive got to try this. Ive tried cleaning the jets. New float valve. Setting the float height. Checking fuel tap etc. new plugs. Hard to start. Grumbles. But wont go. Takes loads of kicks and eventually goes. When warm or hot it goes first kick.
Yes sometime we just miss that one that one simple hole that will do the trick. Good luck and lmk if it fixes it..and one more that have gotten me a few times on my other bikes is fuel cap vent.
@@zukins5003 yes I remember watching my friends quad run for a while then cut out. He would check he had fuel and it would start right up. Then cut out again a few mins later. We eventually figured out it was the aftermarket gas cap that was covering the vent hole 😂
Yes so far so good, the exhaust is just a gutted stock de-cat and I just angled the ends with an extra pipe so it will somewhat match in length (if I used only stock ones it will be a bit short and to me it looks a little off). I can't seem to leave anything stock for long lol. What you riding in the states? I moved here from California 14 years ago.
hopefully no long term damaged. what's up with the exhaust, a little different than what we run here in the states
did you get this bike in Thailand or you imported into Thailand? I've heard cars/bikes are expensive there.
Yes it's cost 400k Thai baht which is around 11-12k $. It looks to be made in Japan and just wheels assembly put on to avoid any more duty tax is my guess. And yes it seems to be a 300% tax for imported goods.
Wow...that's a crazy amount of money. My bikes are made in Japan too and then shipped to the dealers in the states @@zukins5003
I use those washable, unscrewable aluminum filters with a screen, emery cloth and a piece of coffee filter or old air filter paper instead of those cheap disposable ones. Got tired of my pilot jet clogging.
I think I know what you're talking about but I never heard of the filtration technique, I bet it does a good job. Now I just add carburetor cleaning as part of a regular maintenance. Thanks for the great tip
Throw a little rare earth magnet in there, too
@@FightFilms now that is another great thinking! I will need to try that:)
Wanna do something similar to my AX115. Is that a 16" in the back, 18" up front?
Yeah man that would be an interesting project very similar to this one. As for the wheels I'll take a look when I get a chance to go see the bike unfortunately it's been in the shop for a minute. But if I remember correctly it's a 18 front and 15 rear. If not I will reply when I find out. Sorry to keep you waiting and thanks for checking in brother, I will also update when I get it back from the shop.
No worries. Looks mean.
You are basically squeezing the throttle grip and eventually going to crush the plastic and seize it and ... Please don't ride in group, no one should get hurt over your cheap find!
@@richardt.953 whatever throttle lock you use please don't use it in a group ride and only when no one else is on the road or close by. Be safe and so far over 4 years my cheap find is still working great.
Top idee....
Awesome thanks for dropping in brother !!
Nice ride. 😊 what country is this?
I'm in Thailand sir
Lol wait am I missing something looks like the bone got extended how did it lower the bike I've been trying to get the bolts out and no luck do I need the bike on the ground all the way or just enough to take the weight off these things are like welded on mine lol that top nut looks like it's gonna be fun
The job is pretty straight forward once you break the bolts loose. As for the dog bones yes it's extended because of the way the mounts for the shocks are angled if that makes sense. It will extend the mounts thus lower the shock. Good luck
Yeah it's the top one 😂😂😂
@@mackenzieharmon826 yeah man, go ahead and just make sure the bike is stable and crank on it. If I remember correctly it was tight!
@@zukins5003 yeah it's pretty reterded on how tight they are lol
🤣
Thx bud
Mine is unfortunately the otherway around so attempting that, the pliers hit against the frame before a full rotation
Once you get a good grip just turn the direction you want and it should stay put while you get the pipe wrench readjusted to complete the turn(like in video) and it'll snap in place. Good luck
Fuel pressure regulator and pump. Had black smoke coming from mine and replaced injectors along with fuel pump started fine but the smoke persist finally took the tank back off then changed pressure regulator and bam no more smoke I assume from sitting w bad gas the regulator was stuck causing it to run rich. Hope you solve your issue
Interesting, glad yours is fix. I will have to take a look into that when I get chance. Thank you
Rear suspension?
Only springer seat for rear suspension, let's see how my back holds up..😅
License plate big as a TV.
I know..I hate it much and that's why most of my bike have relocated plates to help with the eye sore.
I'd the neutral switch the same as AX100(but with 5 extra brass points) , because I have a TVS Suzuki Shaolin and here's a huge scarcity for that switch.
I'm glad I got it all sorted out. Good luck
Awesome work
